It really doesn't matter that much what you put in your initial appeal to the PPC, there's little or no chance of ever getting a cancellation of your PCN, so why waste time and effort in putting a full and challenging appeal at that point.

On the basis you're never going to get a cancellation, then what you're really after is a POPLA code. So do what's necessary to get that. Save your big guns for POPLA.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Is this better?

    Parking charge appeal.

The parking charge is appealed as the driver was a genuine customer of the facilities. Copies of receipts enclosed.

Also, leaving site is not listed as a restriction on the parking enforcement scheme section of the Xxxxxx leisure park website. Print out of the webpage enclosed.

I would also say that this charge is a disproportionate penalty which is unenforceable in law.

If you reject my appeal I want to know whether the charge is supposed to be for break of contract or trespass and how exactly is the amount arrived at?

I will also require a POPLA code of course.

I would really like someone to tell me if this is normal:

I wrote a basic appeal letter to ukcps after the registered keeper letter as above. Within the 28days.

Now I have just received another letter same as the other one to the registered keeper but now the fine has increased to £120 due to dept recovery costs.
Is this normal for them to keep sending increasing invoices without yet replying to my appeal.
I thought the amount would be frozen

You sent the appeal within 28 days of getting the Notice to Keeper through post? Your previous post says you did.

If so, then did you send a letter or email as your appeal?

If all was ok at your end, then get on to them immediately asking why they did not acknowledge your appeal, and either cancel the ticket or send a POPLA code.

The BPA code of practice requires that they suspend efforts to enforce the charge whilst the appeal is being dealt with.

So you should make a formal complaint to BPA about their breach of the CoP and copy it to DVLA

I rang them and was told that they have received my appeal. The woman didn't know why I was sent a letter increasing the amount and said they shouldn't have done that

Probably a computer automatically printing and posting a letter. Nothing to worry about.

Please stop calling these people, everything must be in writing. Now make the complaints as suggested above
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I always say on UKCPS threads now that you need to read other UKCPS threads to see the games that firm play, and how to wheedle a POPLA code out of them.

To find other UKCPS threads that are recent, just open another tab now and Google:

    'UKCPS address the factual issues'.

You will find 'your' letter and you will find what people have done by way of challenge at your stage. And you will find POPLA appeal wording too, in readiness, tailor made for UKCPS cases. You are currently surprised and confused by the template, standard wording on a letter you could have been ready for, so read up on UKCPS now so that you know what to do and when.

Did you bother to read it and do that simple search? If so why, oh why oh why were you not ready for the flippin' computerised letters??

Of course you have received that letter. You should have expected it. Come one, it is not a fine.

I thought you would have read about UKCPS tricks by now. Why are you ringing them? NO-ONE rings a scammer like them! Why don't you do that Google search now? Learn what to do and what to expect from UKCPS (bit late but never mind).

Did you post or email your appeal?
