parking charge in cineplex leaving site advice needed

Hello again. I did as you said and waited for the letter to the registered keeper to arrive.
It no longer has the £60 'discount' option on it so paying it is even more unappealing. It has confused me slightly though as it says the registered keepers Chance to appeal is now over unless the car was stolen or sold.
I will try and attach an image of the letter in a bit when I work out how.
I am unsure whether to write a brief reply or go all out with photographs and receipts from the site. And I presume I have to write it in third person, although not outwardly stating I was there seems a bit impossible since I am providing receipts proving I was there.
I also have photographs of the signs in the car park and a print out from the car park website -the rules on which do not state that leaving site is an issue.
Am I correct in thinking that there are regulations governing the minimum size of text on signs? Especially at the entrance to the car park?0 -
This is a common tactic by certain PPCs, a practice that the BPA were supposed to have curtailed. So, as well as appealing to the PPC anyway, put in a complaint to the BPA about them. The more complaints the better.I did as you said and waited for the letter to the registered keeper to arrive.

Keep is short for now. Save your ammunition for POPLA. And yes, keep it in the third person. Your aim here is to get a POPLA code.I am unsure whether to write a brief reply or go all out with photographs and receipts from the site. They are not regulations, but they are part of the BPA Code of Practice, so add that to your complaint to BPA.Am I correct in thinking that there are regulations governing the minimum size of text on signs? Especially at the entrance to the car park?0 -

And copy your complaint to DVLA too:

I always say on UKCPS threads now that you need to read other UKCPS threads to see the games that firm play, and how to wheedle a POPLA code out of them.
To find other UKCPS threads that are recent, just open another tab now and Google:
'UKCPS address the factual issues'.
You will find 'your' letter and you will find what people have done by way of challenge at your stage. And you will find POPLA appeal wording too, in readiness, tailor made for UKCPS cases. You are currently surprised and confused by the template, standard wording on a letter you could have been ready for, so read up on UKCPS now so that you know what to do and when.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi nuit,
I'm new here as well and, like you, I received a PCN & I was worried sick.
Don't worry. The members on here are brilliant & hugely experienced with cases like yours. You will need to do quite a bit of reading but it will be worth it.
People on here will help you every step of the way and you will not have to pay this charge so please relax & stop worrying.0 -
Thankyou fingers lily. I noticed you won your case. Congratulations. Im going to read through all your posts and see how you did it.
I am currently trying to write up my appeal letter to ukcps. Should I post it on here for people to see before I send it?0 -
Thank you the slithy tove and yes zzzlazydaisy I will do thst once I have drafted and sent my appeal letter.

Can anyone clarify a question for me. I keep reading this rule recently about signage at entrance to the car park.
At the car park I entered there was a big sign saying private car park for customers using leisure facilities only. And a tiny one illegible to all vehicles high on a post stating the 'rules' of the car park.
Does this mean that they do have adequate signage at the entrance as I was going to argue that they did not.0 -
Also do I list the bpa rules of practice I feel they have broken in my appeal letter to them. I was intending to write a long reply covering every point I could think of initially to give me a slight chance of it getting thrown out before popla even though I know it is very rare.
Maybe I should post what I have so far later on when im on a proper pc0 -
