I think everyone is getting this message at the moment, a few of my face book friends (who post on here too) are saying they are having the same issues.

I've been getting it for 15 minutes or so. Went over to site feedback where these sorts of things are usually mentioned. Nothing.
Whether anything will be done as it is the weekend ...

Incidentally, has anyone else noticed the smileys moving about from their normal spots. Happened a few times since the downtime to switch servers.
I've put it down to possibly the renaming of some files, but it all seems a bit odd.

ETA: The pop-up messages seem to have now cleared for me.

Yes same for me BUT when I switched to Chrome it worked, but now working in IE so back to normal I suppose
