Since I've been playing the pancake game it's always been the same: Floor, cat's bowl, ladies head. I have my suspicions about it being fixed, but I guess it can't be if people have won!

A lot of these instant win comps have a certain "winning time" I think. I remember a debate about the cono sur wine comp where 3 members of the same family all won. Turned out that they had sussed the winning time! The only one I've won is the Ecover. I won a bottle of fabric conditioner a couple of months ago.0

I've won a few times with the Dorset Cereals spin the bottle, since it changed wins seem to have dried up though.
It's just perseverance and changing the time you enter I would have thought
Good luck

Thanks bossladysal and Daphne01, I read something to the same effect on contests.about.com. I will try to enter the competitions at different times

Not an instant win but the daily one for 4 AA batteries usually has over 400 entries every day so you would be lucky to win that once a year.
It is likely the instant win games have 1,000s not 100's of entries every day some of them with only one prize a day on offer which would give an average of a win every few years or so (some people may never win while others get several prizes but those are the likely odds).0 -
I must admit I did chuckle at the trying for one week comment, I have a core I enter and most of them have been eluding me for over 2 years! But I see people post on here that they have won them so I know it can be done. Also in that time I have won the big prize from Dorset Cereals twice (both times it was when they had replaced the usual one prize with hundreds of their new varieties, yum yum) so I am not doing too too badly!0

I guess I'm too impatient for instant competitions. In a prize draw you fill in a form once and forget about it, and the chance of winning is probably the same as with the instant ones. Still, I will keep trying for a couple of months, maybe three tops :rotfl: If I don't win during this time I will never buy Clipper tea or Dorset cereals again

It's funny how we persevere to win an item worth a couple of quid, yes I'm guilty too and won earlier in the year
