Has anybody heard of Erad heating and if so do you know whether it works as well as claimed?

Hi there
This is my first post, and not a positive one at that.
I've recently been for an interview with a company near Blackburn that sells the erad system. They are called optima energy solutions.
I was sure that I recognised 1 of the guys that kept interrupting the interview to speak to the guy that was interviewing me.
I started with them, but it soon became apparent that it was a direct sales company, cold calling call centre, and all business had to be closed on the day, phone calls to the manager bla bla bla. The product, on the face of it seems good albeit that I never got to see one.
Anyway - my point is that as soon as I realised who the guy was that I'd recognised I left.
The guy is (text removed by MSE Forum Team). Formerly from the world of solar.

I ordered an E-Rad System from Optima Energy Solutions Ltd. in July.
I am still waiting for it to be supplied and fitted. They keep giving excuses as to why they are unable to deliver. All the "bumpf" seems in order and it promises a lot!! I will let you know if it is any good, if and when I get my system. I have given them a months notice to deliver or I will cancel the order.0 -
Any update on this system anybody I had a company called optima energy trying to sell the system with promises of at least 50% energy savings and payback over 5 years based on an outlay of £8k that miraculously was£15k until I said it had to be less than £10k and 5year payback. Any feedback to the system, the company or the approval of such a system would be great thanks Ian0

I too was dubious about this about this, but felt strongly as its a fully british company, to take the risk.
If I'm honest, there was an initial delay to get it manufactured but they're all made to order so was expected. The install was very quick, and can honestly say my house is noticably warmer than it was, and my bills have dropped massively. I was spending about £150 p/m, which is now down to about £90. The electricity has hardly changed, despite this being run electricity.
I was lucky in that its was still relatively new so they're doing discounts at the moment, but I can't see them doing it for long.
Yes there's an initial investment, but the payout is far better than anything else I've seen, and I'd rather have the money than SSE (my supplier).
Let me know what you decide, but I'd highly recommend doing it ASAP, before discounts end. When I signed up, they were planning to release a water product as well, which I'll be doing in the new year when its released.0 -

Couldn't see that coming.;)0 -
Haha, I have to start somewhere. I came across this as I was seeing how many other people had purchased and what their views were. Maybe now we'll start getting others0

Electric is about 4 times the cost of gas, so if you can heat with gas, I would never even entertain any form of direct electric heating.0

Further to my post here in November. "Optima Energy" quickly installed my heaters!! The panels arrived and were fixed to the walls one day and a few days later, at 7am one morning, unannounced, or pre planned, the electricians arrived to wire the outlets. They connected the heaters but couldn't commission them as the PCBs were not available!! Another week and the PCBs arrived and the system was supposed to have been set up and working. The lounge heated up OK and one other heater struggled to warm up, the rest stayed cold!. I left the system on all day and night, it was taking 2 kilowatts an hour to run what was working of the system. I have now switched the whole lot off, hence It is COSTING ME NOTHING TO RUN!! I am now still waiting for someone who knows what they are doing to come and sort the problems out. Of course I stopped the cheque for the final payment and will not pay the final instalment until I am satisfied that the system is working properly and as promised. I wonder if I will have a warm house for Christmas??!0
