Is there a good Upright Vacuum - 2 dogs

Options
Me again, sorry!!

There's loads of good advice about vacuums but they do seem to be mainly cylinder cleaners. As I'm all carpets and no hard floors an upright is a better option for me (I think  )

I got hoocked on Dyson ever since I saw a neighbour hoovering a carpet thick of Golden Retriever's hair. It just cut through the dirt and despite some people not being satisfied with Dysons, I would buy another one tomorrow.

I have had an upright Hoover Purepower for years. It does a good job and costs well under £100.

I think Dysons are grossly overpriced and unreliable. If you want a bagless vacuum cleaner, there are plenty of far cheaper alternatives.

Meile Cat and Dog for me. It copes brilliantly with the dropped hair from 2 border collies and my waist length hair! Not an upright but highly recommended.
Here I go again on my own....

i got a Morphy Richards Pets for £40 and does the trick nicely. Comes with a long enough extension cable and accessories to do the stairs. also comes with air freshers for the bags.

http://www.sebo.co.uk/Pages/x4extra.html I got this one. I used to be a cleaner and have used most of the vacuum cleaners that were ever made . Henry is ok but it hits the backs of your legs when you pull it,i would only use it for the garage !
Dyson are good for about a year then they never seen to be as good as they were when you first bought them. Much too expensive for what they are ,to me they look like plastic rubbish.
Miele as excellent but not sure if they do a upright one .

But your picking the right style of vacuum cleaner ,as uprights are the best for carpets .
