Sky Commercial prices?

Hi, posted this in wrong place i think earlier,
I am member of a small private social club which looks set to close and we seem to be losing members because we don't have sky sports, espn or horse racing channel . the committee say i it costs thousands a year to have with it being for business use but i didn't think it could be that much so tried to have a look on sky.com for business use but when i clicked on package prices for pub use it says tha you have to phone up and speak to someone. Is there anyone from sky business/vm out there who could give us a rough idea how much it would be for basic broadband, basic phone line rental and sky sports with football espn and horse racing in newcastle area ?

You are also allowed to source from other EU suppliers who are considerably cheaper than Sky - most events are available as Sky sell on the feeds to other broadcasters.

thanks can you recommend any as they are a bit wary, as they know of another club which uses a eu supplier but not sure if it is a legal one. Do you know of one which can get football (mainly for all Newcastle matches) and the horse racing channels (not sure if they use racing uk) and espn Thanks Also an estimate on price if possible!

You are not allowed to use private foreign subscriptions in commercial premises. The recent ECJ judgement on Karen Murphy's case clarified that whilst it is not illegal to use private foreign subscriptions in domestic situations it is a breach of copyright to use anything other than commercial subscriptions in commercial premises and no EU broadcaster will issue commercial subs for use outside their territory. Also Sky do not sell on the feeds to other broadcasters - it is the EPL who sell their feeds on.

Please get your facts correct or don't bother posting particularly when your advice could get someone in legal problems for following it.

None for legal use in commercial premises. Only Sky, BT or VM subscriptions are legally available for commercial premises.

Thanks for replies, think our club might be closing as don't think we can afford it. Been looking into it and quotes of around £3500 a month!
