Grrr a bit of a moan about other mse forums

Options
I have made threads on some of the other forums and I find that the people (not all, but some) are really rude

They haven't made rude comments but I find some are rather sarcastic or they're really blunt. For example, I was having a bit of a moan about a situation I'm in with letting our apartment out.... (someone pulled out...well, I say pulled out, he just didn't turn up at the letting office to sign the contract) - you know what someone said - ''go to another agent''. That was it. I'm sorry, but if your going to be an !!!!, then don't bother saying anything at all. I didn't need to be told to go to another agent.

I've had it with previous posts too. Has anyone else found this, or is it just me?

I thought most people on MSE were decent, obviously not.

Not really seeing what's wrong with the suggestion of trying another agent I think the poster was trying to be helpful not rude, Perhaps you're a bit stressed about the whole situation and that could be making you read too much into what's being said?

I hope it's all sorted out soon, and you get a big win to cheer you up :D

I've just read the thread. Sorry but I think maybe you're a wee bit wound up and seeing things that aren't there.

I hope you get sorted soon, it's a stressful time trying to sort house things. Been there. x

Some people are just to the point.
Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

written text has no tone - it is just how you read it and interpret it depending on what mood you are in at the time of reading it.

No need to hang your head in shame we all get stressed, and selling or letting a house is propably one of the most stressful of events. Keep that head up high and go and destress by winning tons of cool stuff :D

It's hard to convey what you want to stay via text.

'find another one' is different to 'have you thought about looking at other agents if that one isn't working for you, maybe they will be more of a help" :)

Smiley faces always soften things, thats why I put them. But then it might come across as being sarcastic.
I think we should be able to speak what we want to say and upload it so people know how we mean to put something across.

Don't go near the DFW forums then! People are just told to cut back on every single thing, in a very blunt way. Let's not get into the pros and cons and what they should or shouldn't do - there's no need to be rude or blunt.

But I agree with nelie - it is so hard to convey certain things through text.

I have not seen the thread you are talking about, but I often browse through 'new posts' when I have time to kill, so view a range of forums. I have to agree that some areas of the site lack the friendly nature seen on the comping forums x
