No, it's not for older people.

It's for people who don't do their research before buying a car.
The hybrid premium is far in excess of any money you'd ever save on fuel.

    It'd be like:

    2006 Prius = £6000
    2006 Small hatch back (Yaris/etc) = £3000
    2006 Large/saloon (Mondeo/Vectra/etc) = £1500

I know what i'd buy, i'd buy the big f**ker for £1500 and save myself £4500 for fuel and a couple of nice holidays.

As for the environment, it's been said that the Prius is worse than a Hummer, the environmental damage is just done during production rather than once it hits the road.

This ^^ has bene debunked several times, but only ever by picking on one small error.

Agree with this. It's for numpties who think they're saving the planet and getting a gazillion MPG, when in the real world they're getting no better MPG than a small engined petrol car.

Oh and have you ever seen the film The Other Guys? There's a great critique of the Pruis in that.

Can you give me another car that does 60 mpg Auto for 6K that reliable car and with 3 years warranty?

Try something that isn't full of batteries and doesnt command a huge premium. And your 60 MPG is complete pie in the sky.

6 grand for a 7 year old mid size family car - how can you think that's good value?!

Doubt toyota dealer is "giving" you a 3 year warranty, its included in the price and will be subject to you using them for the servicing which will hit your pocket hard, take striders advice, buy an ordinary used car and save yourself money.

Your not looking at the figures......

If you pay £6000 for a car that does 60mpg and I pay £1500 for bigger and better equipped car that does 30mpg.

It doesn't take a genius to see that 30mpg is 1/2 of 60 mpg, but £1500 is 1/4 of £6000.

Your basically spending your capital up front OR putting yourself into debt (what's the interest on £4500?), while im having a great time with £4500 in the bank earning interest and being great financial security in these uncertain times.

I've driven several Prius, they're good cars, but they're not £6k for a 7 year old car good.

I have car that does 30mpg but is costing me to much to drive every day to work and we use it in the weekend to go out too. so i was thinking if it will do double the mpgs i can get the money back within a year and half. Thanks

The cheapest one i found is for about 4999 without any warranty. I am looking for 50000 miles only below.
