Morning everyone,
Hester, LW, Molly, Julie, Hilstep, Judi Hugs.
BB Hope the toes recover soon.
Sunshine Welcome.
JackieO Have a lovely holiday.
RR Get well soon.
Today is very busy as I will be getting ready for my holiday. We are off tonight and I will be away for at least a fortnight, possibly 3 weeks if we decide to stay in Wales longer.
Good luck to everyone expecting results while we are away and see you all in September!
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Thank you everyone for the Welcome.
Have two appointments at the hospital today 11am &1.30pm.
The OH is making packed lunch and flask up as I am typing.
The last time we were there the appointments ran well over time and it cost £4 for two teas and the price of the sandwiches well:eek:
I know what you mean, the hospital I went to yesterday only has a Costa which is very expensive and the coffee is horrible anyway, so we do the same we always take something with us. The other big cost is the parking charges it has cost us over £12 this week on two hospital visits, what a rip off :mad::mad:Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning All
Welcome Sunshine
Rain here as well and I had a terrible night again, my right knee was agony so I got up and took a couple of tramadol but they didn't touch it, I finally nodded off at 3.15am and was up at 6.30 am, so I will probably be a bit of a grouch bunny today.
Ruby do as you are told and rest that foot, ligaments can take ages to heal especially if you try to do too much too soon x
Not doing much today, I have half a machine load of washing which can wait until tomorrow and we are going shopping when DH gets home this afternoon. So I am off to write my meal plan for next week and my shopping list.
Have good holidays Moorhen and JackieO x
((((((((((Hugs)))))))))) to all the poorlies, Hester, Ruby, Hilly, Bethebee, LW, Molly, Penpin and any one who just needs a reassuring one.

Morning all,
jackieo and moorhen have a great holiday. And hugs for anyone who needs one RR take it easy today.
Had a bit of a lie in this morning. Woken up by the lady next door vaccing her bedrooms, she always does them on Friday. Time I was up anyway. Fully intend to rest as much as I can today.
We have a busy weekend, up at our friends tonight she is making supper and then out for a meal with the family tomorrow night. If I don't rest I will be useless over the weekend as my legs are so painful just now.
DS3 has just had his Leeds ticket delivered so he will be overjoyed when he wakes up. He was mortified last night when he came home. last night at work they found an older couple (70's) doing stuff they shouldn't in the jacuzzi:rotfl: he thought it was so funny, his parting comment was and their skin was so wrinkly from the jacuzzi:o I think it was probably wrinkly when. They got in there :rotfl::T
Well I better get a wriggle on, have a good day all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning :hello:
Master tru finally finished working in the bathroom yesterday. He instructed us Not To Do Anything. “I'm halfway through something or other and if you do anything to it, you'll mess it up”. That was 4-5 months ago. And he broke the toilet gggrrrrr. The pipes are all hidden now and we've put a new toilet in, but this means I now have to decorate and I can't be bothered, lol.

Mr tru is working today, he's usually off on fridays. I don't do housework on his day off. There are things to do, but I'm not doing them – friday is my day off tooNot sure what to do with myself though. Might watch a film later.
I've written new lists. I started with two – Needs and Wants. Then split them down into Things I Can Do Now and Things That Have To Wait. Then wrote a list of things I need to buy to get the Needs done. I have too many lists

Morning all,
I didn't sleep well last night. Hubby is suffering with his hay fever so he shut all the bedroom windows and I felt hot and stifled.
Millie dog got me up twice for a wee and by 6 am I was wondering if it was worth going back to bed.
The men are working all weekend apparently. Looks like fitting in the shopping when I can.
A big welcome to Sunshine4. Lovely to have you join us.:T
Moorhen thanks so much for the hugs. Have a lovely holiday wont you. Come back nice and refreshed. Of course JackieO that applies to you too.
Thinking of you tibawo. I hope all goes well at the opticians. Let us know how you get on wont you?
Jobs for today mostly complete. Just have the laundry to put away now and prepare the tea for later... but that can wait.
Tea will be beef tonight. Last nights duck didn't go down to well. Youngest loved it, I liked it but hubby didn't like it so I wont bother with it again. I gave him venison last week and he liked it until I told him what it was.:rotfl:

Afternoon All,
Hope the weather holds up for our holidaymakers, Moorhen and Jackie, and that you and families have a fab time. Don't forget my bar of rock!
Had one of my irregular flare ups of inflammation on my left knee yesterday. Had to take to bed yesterday afternoon with an ice pack and anti inflammatory tablets. Have had to take off work today and rest up. Usual healing time is 2/3 days, so I should be right as rain tomorrow. I think this has been caused by reading about all the ill-health stories, my body obviously decided I should join in! :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone. :beer:0 -
Happy holidays to those going away.
Get well soon to all the poorly ones....Hester, sleep all you can, your body obviously needs it.
DD1 here for the weekend and has volunteered to make dinner to-night....spag bol I think, she is a good cook so will look forward to it.
Weather not wonderful to-day, very overcast, but will put out 2 machine loads of washing I have done and put on another, which can go on radiators and banisters to dry.
Have a good weekend all

Hi all
Mixed weather here today; so washing (mostly my underwear) is on A-frames over the bath, as I'm not doing the Washing Hokey Cokey for anyone!;) I have to nip out on the scooter to post a letter in a bit; hope I don't meet anyone!
JackieO enjoy the IoW – we loved it when we went last year.:o I too have a “roadkill” change tin, but it gets very little in it – I think they must all be very careful with their loose change around here!:D Though I did find 3 x 5p pieces when taking Sassy for her walk one time.:o
Glitterkitty the only way I've found of keeping neighbours' cats out of the garden is a) if I gave a canine guest or b) going out there myself, yelling and waving my stick at them. Even then they soon come back when they think I've gone back inside.
Sunshine resting after your visit to the horse-piddle is the best option.:o Then rest some more.;) Good idea taking a picnic with you – much better than paying extortionate prices for mediocre food.
Butterfly aww, you poor lass, I sympathise;:( my shoulder kept me awake all night, too, it was so painful. I didn't like to wake Mr LW to pour me a dose of morphine, either (my hands are not steady enough to pour it myself when I'm in that amount of pain) so I soldiered on with the pain and waited til the alarm went at 05:15.:o
Tru aww, Timmy's beautiful – and he obviously loves tomato!:D It sounds like you need to make a list of your lists, to keep them in order....:rotfl: I'll get my coat
Oh, but first..... *fluffs up Hester's pillow and puts a blanket over her*:D I would sing you a lullaby to put you back to sleep, but I sound more like a box of frogs with laryngitis these days.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
