Have changed the free zonealarm firewall's 'trusted zone security' setting from med to high. Is this recommended? Since then i have been getting a security alert saying someone is trying to access my computer from I.P. 192.168.1.1 who is this?
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

Probably your router."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

That's the IP address for your router.
You'll have to allow it access in ZA.0 -

You can create a trusted zone in ZA if you feel it necessary..0

I'm no expert but I sometimes have problems with my Netgear router and this looks the IP address AOL tell me to access thru Explorer to re-establish my connection - that said if u still have access it's clearly not exactly the same. I'll double check mine and let u know.Jdubb0

Probably your router, definately internal to your network.
Do you have wireless? if so, ensure it has security enabled, preferably WPA. Netgear routers do NOT have security enabled by default however they do not use 192.168.1.0 by default either so is likely to be another brand.0 -

just did a google on the i.p. address it refers to a linksys router. Trouble is my router is made by a company called mercury. Unless it has innards from linksys.
the zonealarm gives me an alert and does not give me the choice to accept or deny

In zone alarm, add 192.168.1.0 as a trusted network.0
