How long does Broadband take to set up? (Plusnet)

Hi I'm moving homes on the 19th and of course I need to sort out my internet. My aim is to have the internet up and running ideally on the first couple of days that I move in but I'm not sure how to go about doing it.

I'm setting up a new broadband instead of moving broadband as my parents still need it in my old home. There is a phone socket here but its not active so plusnet needs to activate it.

How long does it take from placing the order up to having the internet up and running? Should I place the order now? They said they will send the new router to my new address but I don't move in till the 19th so it could be a problem if no one is there to receive the router beforehand as the landlord doesn't hand over keys until the 19th.

I really don't want to sort this out once I move in as I will be internetless for two weeks

depends on who you go with, give them a call and see if they can deliver the router to your current address as you wont get the keys until 19th. they will also give an estimate on how long the process will take.
