Up to 8mb.
What you get is dependent on a number of factors, explained here,

I'm considering exactly the same move so would be interested in hearing from anyone who has done it.0

I have it (Mid package - £5/month) and it's brilliant. Best BB connection I've ever had. I can get d/l speeds of 850kB/s 24/7. Fantastic, I love it. It's ADSL2 LLU with no contention on the line. Make sure you're not offered the Connect package as thats just regular BT IPstream (i.e. old-fashioned BB) and subject to traffic shaping and contention etc. It also comes with a proper Netgear modem router (wireless too if you want it) with a real hardware firewall, unlike the cruddy USB modem that Pipex supplied me with. :j
Customer service is useless, however. So, to sum up, if you know what you're doing and have no problems getting set up then its great. But if you do have problems then it can be a nightmare because customer service is so useless. If you want more advice have a look at the independent https://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum forums it's full of useful help and advice.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0
