Morning all,
Beautiful day here will get OH to put a wash on when he gets back, he has just gone to take dd to work for me.
I spent yesterday evening at A + E, had my mums dog here yesterday afternoon for a while, and she jumped out of the car and somehow got tangled up between my legs and I fell onto the gravel in the driveway, my knee, elbow and one hand have been grazed, but my foot was so painful, they x-rayed it for me, thankfully nothing broken but torn ligaments and a bad sprain, I have honestly never known pain like it, they gave me codine to take but it kept me awake all nightand did not touch the pain, paracetamol seems to work much better, I have crutches and am hobbling about and coming up and down the staits on my bum, OH has had to take the day off as there is no way I can drive.
So I shall be directing operations from the sofa ! Did not get round to cooking the chicken yesterday, so will do today and have it with chips tonight, nice and easy, Need to try and have a bit of a tidy round (or get OH to)
Happy Birthday to Molly :bdaycake:Have a great day xx

Thank you for your very kind birthday wishes :T:T:T
Oh goodness i really hope you get some good pain relief Redruby. How about ibuprofen as it would take down the inflammation?I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Happy Birthday Molly, hope it's a good one.:bdaycake:
RR - that sounds very painful, hope you manage to get plenty of rest.0 -
Good morning all,
Sunny here. Looks like it is here for the day.
Happy birthday Molly :bdaycake:hope you have a good day.
BB, hope you get on ok at the hospital.
Redruby, ooh that sounds very painful. Hope the pain eases for you.
We had a productive day yesterday. We dug up a row and half of potatoes from our allotment. A nice big sack full now in the garage. Plenty of rows left to dig up too. Picked enough broad beans to fill an ice cream container, which is in the freezer. Half filled and ice cream container with raspberries which is also in the freezer.
Washing is out. Shopping has been done and all put away. Going to relax for the rest of the day now as my back is very, very sore. My osteoarthritis is playing up today. I might even do a bit of crochet.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Hi I have been a lurker for awhile so I have decided to post I hope you dont mind.
I have been ill for awhile , I use a rollator to get around as I have osteroarthritis in both knees, arthritis in both shoulders had a operation on the left shoulder a few weeks to help with the movement. I have been having all sorts of problems with my health for a few years now.
Recently I was referred to a Dr at the hospital and after months of tests they are swaying to the idea that I may have Lupus. I have gone from two tablets a day to 15 a day they are helping but also there is side affects
.My OH is retired and helps around the house well he does most of it with a small help from me.I dont go out much except to hospital appointments and at the moment that on average of two a week.
Friends have dropped off as I dont socialise any more I am either in pain or too tired. So I come on here each day and read.
Happy Birthday Molly:bdaycake:
Hope you have a lovely day.

Good morning everyone
It's a late one as I am off work today but have just done a couple of hours work on my laptop. Trying to make a good impression? Yep you guessed right!
Wishing you a very happy Birthday Molly, I hope you have a lovely day :bdaycake:
Hi and welcome to Sunshine :hello:
One of our dear friends here will be able to offer you lots of support and advice on Lupus, hopefully she will be along soon.
On the subject of not O/S enough: I know I would never be considered OS enough for some of the forums here but I do my best. I used to buy dozens of cleaning products but have cut this down to Stardrops, vinegar and cheap bleach. I kept my Domestos bleach spray bottle and it's been refilled dozens of times with H&B's cheapie version. Most of my washing is now conditioner free and I do water down the concentrated conditioner, and my washing powder/liquid is now halved and topped up with soda crystals in the drawer. I try and make extra money to pay off bills by selling my old tat, oops I mean family inherited treasures, on ebay and Amazon. I shop as cheaply as possible and often do a round of different shops during the week to get the best deals. I bulk buy and bulk cook. Will that do?
Like many people on this thread, I suffer with my health and have had regular surgery and other treatments for skin cancer for over 20 years. This thread is so supportive and caring and friendly that it comforts me to be here and I am sure many people feel the same way and would come here if nothing O/S was ever mentioned. I think you are all wonderful and I thank you for the support and friendship you offer every day :T
OK that's enough of a ramble, am off out with DH for a free walk!
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for anyone who needs or just wants them. Keep well and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

:bdaycake: Molly. Hope it turns out a good one.:beer::j:j:beer::beer:
Leave the nasties in the doorstep thread to themselves. I read the title, and it said something about "helpful & supportive" . . . .
We have had the odd scuffle on here in the past, but now we seem fine. For me it is the camaraderie, after finishing work in a large male dominated organisation, and never being in one place for long, and always being on a higher grade than the female members, I.e their boss, it is nice to have an ear and you tell me you like my tales of travelling, though not the weather reports from Spain in the winter. :rotfl::cool::rotfl:
Just having a coffee before we set off for the next stop, Somerset here we come. Not on electric after this, so everything is plugged in being charged up :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
We will have access to some power, just not in the 'van, but it all works on battery and we have a large solar panel to keep that topped up.
Just lost the meals for today, so had better sign off before losing it all.
((Hugs)). All round, RR your fall sounded nasty, HH baby steps, please try to eat something, Molly s0d the &@/:;,@&, LW don't forget we like to hear from you too, Judi don't hide away. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0
