yippee just moved to vodafone sim only red tarriff so will upgrade to 4g if it is only £5 extra. currently paying £21 for 1gb 3g data!!

Off topic i know, but I got offered the same deal last week for £14.50 pm or with 2gb data for £17pm. I took the latter :p

The allowances seem to be better on Vodafone than EE but still rather pricey when there is an unlimited 3G data option on Three for ten pounds less a month.

I'll be waiting to see if Three are true to their word have unlimited 4G on their higher tariffs.

I agree with this. Unless you simply must have 4G now, surely it's best to see what happens when Three shake up the market with their offering? The data plans on offer now seem ridiculously low when you have 4G capability, especially if you are paying a premium.

I love how they are keen to offer unlimited calls and texts when most people are reducing these and using mainly data!!

How about a plan focused on data, with minimal calls/texts at a reasonable price.

    Say £20 p/m for 10GB, 250 mins/texts.

I would give that a go.

It seems (may be wrong) that the spotify and sky sports comes out of your data allowance.

Although we should wait for official confirmation on that. But effectively that's 2 full length football matches on sky sports before your 2GB data limit is hit.
  • Spotify or Sky Sport will not be coming out of your data allowance, it's separate.

After the 6 months free period, will they roll the customers onto the paid-for products? (sky sports, spotify)

Good deal if you happen to live in London or a few other select cities.

Hi Kite2010, yes customers will be rolled onto a paid subscription, but Vodafone has told me you can cancel this at any time. So if you only want to use the six months free, that's fine - you can just cancel before you have to pay.

it does come out of your data allowance!!

    3. Access to the Service
If you exceed any price plan data allowance when using the Content you will incur additional internet data charges.

    Also...
If you access the Content outside the UK then you may incur browsing, downloading and other internet data charges at the standard internet data rates for roaming.

Don't want either, so how about dropping the cost by £5 a month then I may be interested...
