scanner not there.

i have removed the program for the scanner, i have un-plugged everything from the scanner, i have downloaded the file from the hp page. i have re-started my computer i have re-connected my scanner, and hey presto we have a full house it's now working.
Thank you very much to DVB and rogue_element for that.
hubby did not disconect the scanner, and thinks that is probably why the download did not work.
God i'd be lost without the help that i have had from people on this board with my new computer. i do actually try and search before i ask questions but it sometimes goes over my head.
Again thanks, just gonna sort out that chinese writing on my adobe letter.0
