You have no shower? So you all have a bath...how full do you make it. You only need just enough water to wash in.
It's 159 litres per person per day so it's average. Especially considering you have baths rather than showers.
Thanks. Yes we all have baths, but are cutting down on how much we put in. In getting a tap shower so that should help.
The past houses I've lived in (in the same town) we were not on a meter and were paying about £25 pm, so it's a big shock being on a meterI Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

Northumbrian Water charges
Supply of water £39.20
Cost of water 113.9p per cubic meter *116 *2 = £264.25
Waste water <=350m2 £118.50
Cost of waste water 105.09p per cubic meter *116 * 2 = £243.81
Adding them all together and dividing by 12 gives £55.48 per month...so if you are paying £45 you still aren't paying enough and will need to increase it again.
If you weren't on a meter and lived in the lowest value property possible the minimum charge on rateable value is £95.90 plus 57.38p/£ in RV and £123.50 plus 60.37p/£ in RV...assuming your rateable value was a very low £200 then your bill would have been £38 per month.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Thank you. It was a combination of paying £25pm (non meter), and the company saying the average family of 4 pays £35pm (metered) and saying we used a lot more that made me think we were high users. Don't feel quite so bad now.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0
