Of course you can join us, mynellie. A very warm welcome to you. biggrin.gif Start saving straight away and have fun and enjoy the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

xcarlyx and Rosepetal1701 please don't' forget to put your numbers on your signatures for me. Thank you.
Potted 8p. Saw 1p roadkill at bus stop, but so many people stood there was too embarrassed to pick it up. Was that silly??

Put it this way, Thrifty Fashionista, your loss is now someone else's gain! Would you have left it if it had been a £1 coin?? NEVER, I hope!! If possible cover it with your foot and drag it back, but don't be embarrassed as it's there to be picked up by someone - so why not you?! ;)

Good for you in having fun with your Mum and the wig, Nell. I tell you, you'll soon be like this. :happylove

Well done with the extra work and extra cash, Helen! Great going with £50 banked and thanks for popping it on your siggy. Great saving too!! :j

As I'm late to this game, not sure whether to open the pot - I guess I should, and then start a new one for next year![/quote

Ellie, if you'd sooner leave your pot until next year to open then do so by all means. It's difficult when bills have to be paid and you have a fair few NDSs, but hopefully things will pick up. Be happy with what YOU want to do. BTW, well done with the 2p! :D

Ruth's right, charleybear, it's good to hear you're looking ahead to a whole year's saving, you'll love that Total. A second pot for emergencies is a good idea, go ahead and do just that and relax in knowing you're doing yourselves some good.

BTW, Ruth, a gold star :staradmin for you for helping out, a big thank you as well.

Ah, thank you, LC 2, I'm really pleased for you both.

A pot of 8p today, c/o interest from a bank account. I'm having trouble potting as I often have nsd's which is great but doesn't help to feed the pot :(

I don't walk in public places to work so finding roadkill just doesn't happen.

    Anyone any ideas?

Had a really bad day at work today so feeling a bit sad, it's awful to worry about the future but I want to face it head on and not bury my head in the sand. Early days yet though. It's gonna be like a slow torture. My piggy is going to go on a mortgage over payment.

You sound as though you had a bad day, emmita, try to cheer yourself up as debt doesn't last forever no matter what you might be thinking, well, not if you budget well and you sound as though you're being really sensible about your cash. Is it possible for you to take out a specific amount each week/fortnight/month purely to save? It might help you to think you're at least doing yourself some good. I reckon it would help lift you. :kisses3:Try it and see how you go and don't apologise for expressing how you feel, it does you good. Just read about your £1 find - angels are dropping it for you! BTW, re that 2.29, aren't those angel's ever smiling on you today! :j Happy potting to you x

So sorry to hear you've been in a lot of pain, dinglefoot, time I'm sure will help it heal and make you feel a lot better. PS. Are you sure you haven't got an infection in the wound? It often happens. If it's still the same on Monday why not ring your Dr.
I'm still around but potting has slowed :( it seems everyday the children have to take £1 or so in for cooking, charity events, harvest festival, photos.............etc etc etc. Looking forward to opening the pot though ~ any money saved is better than none! £1 potted today :)

Oh I remember those days so well, Happybeingme, you wonder how on earth you're going to cope - but we do - we have to! As you say though, the money in your pot is a whole lot better than none!! Be proud of yourself. ;)

    Well done, Emily! :j

Ok, Rosy, have a lovely time but for goodness sake take something waterproof!

Hi not been on for ages. I have decided not to open our £2 sealed jar as there is not a lot there. We will open the £1 and 50p one and the small change one which I use for Christmas stamps.
Looking forward to opening them. Keep up the savings!!!

Whatever's beat for you, marco1dog, be happy with. :)

I'm sure we all understand, ETO, but anything's better than nowt for sure. All the best with next year being much easier on you. :)

Doesn't that old b*g ever let up, sparky! You and J must be sick and tired of her and her family. Wouldn't it be just wonderful if your numbers came up tomorrow - you could salute her "V" as you drove off!!!! :rotfl: Well done on the charity ride! We're both fine thanks, the family too - especially our eldest Granddaughter who's in the Caribbean where she's just been proposed to!!! Talk about a memorable holiday. Yes, she said yes!

Oh, little_sweetie, you sound really rough. Do take good care of yourself and keep warm.

£15 for the pot courtesy of DH forgetting he was going to give it to me...so I helped myself!! Found 5p roadkill in town on Wednesday and one lady right alongside me picked up a 1p! I wonder if she's one of us?!! Own up whoever you are!! :rotfl:

Have a wonderful weekend, potters, but NEVER forget to save!!

    Sue x

Its my 43rd birthday today and I have had a smashing day. Mum arrived with niece and nephew and lots of pressies and hugs. Brother and sister-in-law arrived a little later and everyone stayed for lunch and a good laugh. What a tonic (without the gin!).
Exhausted now and off for a little afternoon nap, but have Miranda on dvd and some chocs this evening to look forward to :)

And back on track still on NSD, but hoping to be well enough to get out on Monday :)
