Potted some roadkill and housework-kill (even better) during the week but nothing else as I've been very good at not spending this week :A

Now I'm in a bit of a quandry.....I got £5 back yesterday from being overcharged at the theatre last week (charged £24 for a glass of wine instead of the equally hefty £8 it should have been . Sisters and I managed to get a refund and spilt the £16 between us). I was going to put it straight into my pot but DS had no change so gave me £10 note and I gave her back the £5 that was in my purse. So my quandry is do I pot the £10 and lift more cash from the bank to have in my purse or wait until I have change and pot the £5?? Decisions, decisions! :rotfl::rotfl:

Another £7.94 to add to the Pot tonight as I get paid tomorrow and so I thought I would just put everything that I have in my Wallet into the Pot....

Including 2p Tube-Kill....found it in Old Street Tube Station...and I thought I would pick it up, better in my Pot than on the Floor!! :D

  • Can't you tell DS1 to get a job to get him to college? I did a cleaning job when i was there. I did it mostly straight after college and even sometimes at the weekend. It didn't affect my work at all

I've been looking for more part time work for ages, there's just nothing where we live.

He goes to college 2 days a week, does 2 days gardening at his grandparents (they have a large garden they can no longer manage so he does the gardening and they pay him a little for doing it) and 2 days voluntary work (he's been doing this for a year now and does gardening/ground maintenance ~ as its voluntary he obviously doesn't get paid but he's learning on the job and has been told he will get a reference as and when he needs it). He buys all his clothes, gardening and safety equipment, toiletries and anything else he needs from the money he gets from his grandparents so I have no objection to paying for his travel ~ he's a hard worker and I'm very proud of him!

Hope everyone is feeling well today, just potted another £2 coin :)
  • Also I have a normal bank account and a savings account.
Is it worth me opening an account to put my emergency savings in as I can't keep affording to pay for dental bills or buying clothes for funreals and i'll have no money if i get fired from my job.

Is three accounts allowed ? and should i?

I currently have 8 accounts. 2 x current accounts, 2 x ISAs, 1 x credit card and 3 x savings accounts. You can have as many as you like i think...... well i've never been told no.

I like to keep all my money for different things separate so i know how much i have for each think... if that makes sense. I make sure i only use each account for its intended purpose and never dip in when i'm a bit short.

Morning all, horrible day here!! No "Indian Summer" now I'd imagine!!
    Hope all are well.
I am DYING to open my pot!

    Ditto. lol
Would it be cheating to bag it up early?? I want to know what and how many coins needed to round up to a nice figure. I hate part bags.

I potted another £4 today, so £588+ potted so far.

DreamerHelen - you have done doubly well. I'm looking forward to seeing you hit that £200 mark.

nell36 - good luck this week.

Off for more coins, catch up later. :D
