No 282 here, sorry nothing for me this year, have more going out than coming in so nothing to save.


Hopefully I'll find a part time job next year to fit in around the kids and will be able to start again as I so enjoy saving the coins and counting them up.

Oh that's such a rotten shame, too_much_debt, I feel quite sad for you. I do hope you're successful in getting a PT job.

How about using a 'Holding Pot'.

This was introduced last year as sadly, some members were finding they were potting cash so fast without thinking they might need some for things. It then upset them as they then needed to break into their pots for things they'd forgotten to keep change out for.

So, if you have change on, say, a Monday, it might makes more sense to put it in a 'holding pot' just in case you need it for youngsters, parking or anything else - then later in the week - put what's left into your Sealed Pot so you know it can stay in there and, with luck, won't be touched any more. Just don't forget to put the 'holding pot/purse' in a very safe place!

£120.77 from me. I've loved chucking all my spare coins in :j

Mine was a constant holding pot - I need change for parking. So I started swapping the change for notes (when there was enough coins). I spend £14pw parking so equates to c£500 accounting for time off work / time of year I started.
But I don't know if you can count it as I don't have all that actually sealed in a pot (banked bit by bit)
I guess that misses the point, somewhat...

Ooh error, managed to declare on SP5 in all the excitement! So, here I go again:

Amazing! £678.54 and 2 paper clips! £300 towards bill for the shower and the rest can go in our holiday pot!

Hello there, bossymoo, I wouldn't say your post has been difficult to decipher, but did take both sparky & I a few head-scratching times :huh: :undecided to make sure we got the gist of what your Total is. We both believe it to be £500 that you're declaring.

Hello there, 50thfun, what confusion reigned over you last night eh?! :rotfl: Me too if I'm to be honest. It was partly my fault though as I should have had the thread closed several months ago, but people are so late giving their declarations that it has to be left open for a good while....then gets forgotten about!! :mad: I've now got fermi to close it so it won't happen again (not on that thread at least).
