Declaring a very small €70 which I opened earlier in the year cos I moved country! But I plan to work harder this year!

70 Euros is no small amount, tatabubbly, and a lot better than those that don't bother at all! VERY well done indeed!!!! :T At least you had a little to go towards moving. I hope you're happy in your new home and country and enjoying life. All the best with next year's SPC!

I am checking in with a grand total of £172.56!!

Not as much as I'd hoped for but enough to cover my car service, MOT and repair that I shelled out for during the week.

Big thanks to Sue and the team for all their hard work in running the challenge.

Very well savedFiasco55!!! :T Maybe not as much as you would have liked, and certainly possibly not your preferred way of spending it but a very good haul regardless so I hope you're very happy with it.

I look forward to seeing you next time, and IF motivation is needed at all then why not pay us a visit now and again.

Evening all

I counted the contents of my 2 pots and have another £487 banked making a total of £946 for my yearly total. Hurrah.

Beat my £800 target so am well happy. Money already in my new window and door ISA.

Hi I'm number 1846 just checking in to say I've failed miserably this year kept dipping in to my pot and now only have £10.
Will promise to do better next year.

Not to worry, silvermist05, at least you came and declared and were honest about it, a lot to be said for that. Well done on the £10! :T How about using a 'Holding Pot'.

This was introduced last year as sadly, some members were finding they were potting cash so fast without thinking they might need some for things. It then upset them as they then needed to break into their pots for things they'd forgotten to keep change out for.

So, if you have change on, say, a Monday, it might makes more sense to put it in a 'holding pot' just in case you need it for youngsters, parking or anything else - then later in the week - put what's left into your Sealed Pot so you know it can stay in there and, with luck, won't be touched any more. Just don't forget to put the 'holding pot/purse' in a very safe place!

Another way to encourage you is by making regular visits to the SPC 7 thread and staying motivated, it soon becomes addictive instead of perhaps boring. All the best for 2014. PS. A £10er saved is better than spent!

No wonder you're so pleased with yourself, Motoko, you did a marvellous job!! :j Many congratulations to you, you saved very well!!!! :T You're right about how amazing it is to save odd coins as they'd most likely only have been frittered away otherwise! Keep em trapped!

Morning all. Not posted much over the year but have kept potting. Thanks to all who organise and run this thread. Will carry on next year and will try to post more .
Total to declare for #1571 is £457.98:j
