They forgot to mention that as each store can have up to 3 visits they only want one done on any given day! If another shopper moves their visit TNS think it is acceptable to simply move your visit without even telling you. Nice one again TNS

Also, is anyone else working on TNS phone shops at the moment? Mine seem to be changing due date on the shopper log as I'm working on them. No idea what's going on!!

I've had requests to change 4 of my visits and they changed one date without even asking me. Told them that, considering the amount of inconvenience they have caused, to change it back, which they did.

Do TNS think that all we've got on at the mo are their phone shops?

Like most shoppers, I plan all my days to maximise my time, in other words, numerous shops on the same day. Chopping and changing their shops, at the drop of their hat, simply isn't on
  • I had a phonecall about 1, which I was luckily able to move, but I only noticed that some of mine had moved to Saturday when I was writing them up last night. They're done now anyway. Let's see what comes of that...

You're expecting AA to pay you?!?! HaHA. They don't pay, they are known for it. They will find any excuse not to pay you. Sorry

Point taken. I won't be doing any jobs for them until I receive my first payment.

Well, once I've put a shop in the diary, that's when I'm doing it. If they change the date on their system, I wouldn't notice and it gets done when I said it would be done. Like you, I plan multiple shops together. It'll be tough if they don't like it. If they change it without telling you, what exactly do they expect?!

Yeah, I am waiting on big money from them. Not sure when the money will materialise, but it will.

This happened with the burger jobs a year ago. The payment took a long while but it did come eventually.

I don't mind waiting if I know it's coming but when an allocator doesn't reply to emails I get nervous.

I had two moved before the waved kicked off, which bit of inconvenience as date selected was booked around other shops in the area.

I do love the reports - asking you to comment on the positive and negatives for all the questions above - took far longer to do then anticipated:eek:
  • Hi everyone

Just popping in to say hi. I am new to MSing. So far I have signed up with MF and done half a dozen assignments, all fairly straightforward.

I've read the tips on the first page of this thread, but any further tips are appreciated. Regarding tax, do you actually have to register self-employed, or can you just declare the income on your tax return at the end of the year (which I already fill in anyway due to other misc income)?

I was asked to cover a cluster at short notice (phoned at 4pm to do 6 that day) which some one had failed to do the day before and didn't tell them, for a bonus.
I agreed and while the visits didn't take long, the reports were a royal pain taking three time longer than the visits. The was a v late night finish.
