Or tell them you'll go back and grab a store front shot later?
I've got 11 jobs booked in for January and a whopping 40 jobs for February! Lets hope 2015 will be a good year :T0 -

Not a clue but would be interested to know. Could you please PM me if you hear from them? Seeing as I'm the one who PM'd you the link to the report.;):D
Many thanks x0 -
GFK seem desperate, the raduis from my post code seems to grow each time they upload either the banks or cars.0

Thanks evelyns2000. I had you down as a Mystery Outsource expert so if you don't know, I'll assume nobody does
I'll PM you and post here when I hear back from them.0 -

On the Lawmate packages, there is the PV500 Lite 2+BU18 for £370 or the EVO2+BU13 for £570
The information on both Dogcam's and Lawmate's sites is pretty scant. Anyone here know the difference? Whether the cheaper option is ok to use? Any recommendations on which one to get?
I'd like to save £200 if I can but I'm worried it might be a false ecomony - ie might bar me from some jobs/MSCs or go out of date sooner
Many thanks
I use the HD PV500 EVO2 Button Camera Kit, and for a lot of the work I do the clients insist on high quality HD video. If you are serious about doing it then that is what I would buy and it is a good investment.0 -

I wouldn't get the PVO500 Lite. You can't change some of the settings such as the resolution and the sound. Different companies like different resolutions and some are quite strict on this. I had one for 24 hours and sent it back.
I also had many issues with the BU13 camera and sent 6 back in total. Lost out on fees for failed visits too. Apparently its a known problem with them. So I use a BU18 and have never had a visit rejected with this camera. It is not HD, but the quality is so good I can sometimes read a name badge from it! :rotfl:
Just to add, I've been doing video for around 4 years and do 50 - 100 visits every month.0 -
Many thanks for the responses. Sounds like the cheaper option is a false economy. I'm looking to get booked in for training with DS in Jan and becoming a video shopper.
It's been a lot of change this year. For 4 years I was a few pounds a pop hobby shopper. At the start of 2014 I became self employed and, as I build up my business from zero, I've slowly expanded my MS work from one MSC to many in order to pay some bills.
The first month it's really made a real real contribution to my bills is this one - due to discovering overt Field Marketing work and doing 30-40 visits a day some days. Although I quite like the variety, personally, I think I prefer the mystery stuff as it saves being apologetic for bothering people/being seen as a rep for a company/dealing with the frustrations of small shop owners who have had you turn up 3 Saturdays in a row to photograph the same poster!
I certainly respect those who do this FT and for a living. Doing a few £3 jobs a month is child's play. I've earned some ok money this month but I've done some big drives and some long days and, even though rushed to get round the circuit before the last Post Office shuts at 5, making the effort to be friendly to each and every small shop owner (from the 1st to the 300th) and trying to respect him and his little fifedom. It's not been easy.
Yes, respect to you all!0 -

Most of the work I do is with DS and I think the Lite camera would not work for them.
I don't like ouvert fieldwork. Much prefer the mystery shopping stuff.0 -

Agree - soon as you get rid of them more arrived. Surprised they take on these jobs from clients as they always seem to hang regardless of which agency have them.0 -
Anyone else doing the NOK phone visits?
I completed five stores yesterday, not one of them had the type of demos/displays that the guidelines seem to expect. I wouldn't mind but the faffing about you have to do with filling out a short survey immediately after, then completing a crib sheet before then having to repeat your answers online AS WELL AS scanning your crib sheet and convert to PDF to upload as part of your online submission ... it hurts the brain.0
