It's been like for days, but does work in Chrome.
  • Hello all. New to this forum but not to Msing. Been interesting having a read of all the posts.

I have been Msing full time for the last 3 years, and the main bulk of my work is Video. Anyone who wants to make good money Msing will only do so if you do the video stuff. The only report only work I do is the German car pricing audits (which are well paid), and a national airline (which gives me a free flight each month anywhere around the world!). I also do the food visits if I can grab a free lunch in the area I am in, and hotels if they have one in the country I am visiting to do a job.

I do about 3 weeks worth of video work per month, and make anything between £1500 to £2000 (this month I have broken £3k). I also do a couple of specialist car projects which come with a car to use, and currently have two of them sitting on my drive!

Well Done, it sounds like you have worked hard to get where you are. I have only been MSing for 6 months, but will be making it my part time job in the new year. Im just about to purchase some video equipment too. What is your best advice for MSing? How did you secure such good monthly jobs? Is it a matter of working hard, and making your way up the ladder?
Are you willing to give details of which companies you find to be the best?
    Thanks for your advice.

    Go you! :beer::beer::beer: Well done.

Are you still MS'ing then for other companies? IMS seem to have shed loads of merchandising at the moment.

Yes still working for other companies. Now that I am established I have found that I have enough work and do not need the hassle taht these companies create.

    to their actual face ?

or to an ear at the end of the phone ?

either way not a big loss

welcome to the no low fee msc club

An ear on the end of the phone, but I then had an e-mail and a phone call asking me to reconsider my position, I declined :-)

I did some visits for Mystery Outsource a few weeks ago and seem to have a vague recollection that you have to invoice them for the work, rather than them automatically paying you. I emailed them last week to check but had no response. Anyone know?

RA used to very punchy when it came to giving shoppers the boot. I wonder if they are now struggling to get their poorly paid assignments completed.
  • I'm looking at getting a video kit.

On the Lawmate packages, there is the PV500 Lite 2+BU18 for £370 or the EVO2+BU13 for £570

The information on both Dogcam's and Lawmate's sites is pretty scant. Anyone here know the difference? Whether the cheaper option is ok to use? Any recommendations on which one to get?

I'd like to save £200 if I can but I'm worried it might be a false ecomony - ie might bar me from some jobs/MSCs or go out of date sooner

    Many thanks

I'd avoid the cheaper one, it doesn't do full HD for a start also the PV500 Lite 3 is due soon.

The EVO 2 is a proper HD box and also compatible with the BU18

I know, as soon as you kill them off another load appear. Them and the phone provider where you have to take out a contract. Enough!

    Argh there's more
