Apparently it can happen if they already have too many shoppers in your area. You're not missing much. Have you signed up with Market Force? Their assignments are good for finding your feet when you first start out.0 -
Being rejected to be an MS must be really depressing. What? Can you not inhale air and exhale CO2?
I wouldn't worry though. Actually serving the burgers probably pays better!0 -
Did anyone get the questionaire from MF questioning where I would buy an outdoor jacket from and would I be interested in doing the outdoors shop enquiry? Er no - if I need a jacket can get better deals in TK Max without the hassle of a MS report.0

No, but I keep getting one asking if I'd like some money off my shopping. Again, even if I've visiting the said shop, I wouldn't do the mystery shop because the fee's just not worth it.0 -

I think their Burger client only wants certain people. Age and ethnicity. I don't think they want anyone that is too old or from particular ethnic backgrounds. The latter affects you when are caught on CCTV and you don't fit the look of the typical burger joint customer.0 -
I went with a friend to a Burger shop for lunch. We queued up separately and I ordered a meal with a soft drink. I asked for a receipt and the floor show began.
He was left wondering why all the staff treated me really well. Holding doors, even the female staff went into the male toilets just before me to clean it! Lol
My friend thought I was a VIP and the burger establishment did not realise that they were wasting their time as I was not doing a mystery shop!
Funny really. Especially because he got no attention at all!
The burger establishment's head office are wasting their money because service is only good for suspected mystery shoppers.0 -
If doing a Gyp burger, never select the "I was given a receipt without asking" because you will be deselected for being an obvious mystery shopper0

Scary thought.
I'm often asked if I want one at all sorts of places whether I'm MSing or not - it's when I'm in work attire - I think places get used to being asked for receipts from people who can claim it back on expenses - so some staff get savvy as to spotting these people and anticpating their needs. That's my reasoning for my case anyway. Or maybe I looked suspicious/like an MS even before I was one!
Generally, they do like to try to catch you out on every question - asking how you paid, when you started the clock etc.0 -

When the staff get to know you, then automatically ask if you want a receipt. Familiarity is a reason to get sacked. I just say no and then ask for the receipt at the end.0 -
Does anyone have a phone number for MF? Are they open at the weekend? The report I was completing has disappeared! High reimbursement as well!!!0
