Wonder if anyone here can help me - I've seen a lot of people complaining about the very low fees a certain pizza company offers on MF. Was reading a brief earlier on for a job that's in my area and was wondering if anyone can clarify this for me.
It says that no vouchers or codes can be used. Does this mean that if they offer me 2 for 1 collection in store I have to refuse it? It's not exactly clear and I know for a fact that it's an offer they have going in there pretty much all the time.
Thanks!0 -

2 for 1 and the £9.99 any pizza any size offer was acceptable last time I did one but the last round for me were delivery jobs where no offers were available not even the Tuesday offer. Just be sure you spend over the reimbursement even a penny under and they reject.0 -

That's great, thanks - it's not a delivery job, it's one where you have to go into the store and wait for your order. The minimum spend is £9.99 so not exactly hard to hit that target. I was thinking that surely not being able to accept 2 for 1 would be a bit counter-intuitive - when would a normal customer ever reject a free pizza? :rotfl:0 -
Evening!
Was just wondering what the good folk on here thought of video msing? Been doing phone/report type work for a while now and saw some of video jobs pay lot better (obviously I know you have to shell out for own equipment) so was contemplating if its worth it??
Thanks in advance0 -
from the front pageSome companies employ Video MSers. These involve filming the entire visit with a hidden (usually a button) camera. Get some report MSing under your belt before you think about this.
PROS:
It's significantly better paid that report based shopping.
Companies tend to have regular shoppers who can get a lot of work from them - especially if they are prepared to travel.
CONS:
You need to buy the equipment (with a few exceptions).
It takes practice - to work the equipment and learn to keep the camera pointing the right way.
You need to learn to minimise the noise the mic picks up from you - muttering and rustling are not what the client is paying for.
There is no room for 'fudging' or mistakes. If you screw up you can't get around the fact.
Many companies like to allocate in 'circuits'. They'd rather have one person do a whole region, than 5 people do 1 each. If you aren't prepared to travel, or as reliant on public transport, it can take a long time to pay off your investment in equipment.
EQUIPMENT:
They 'good' video MSing companies won't just take any old footage. Don't expect to be able to use your android phone or a cheapy from maplin. The most recommended/ accepted appears to be the Lawmate PV500 or PV500lite as sold by Dogcamsport. Cheaper alternatives are available, but CHECK with your prospective employers on their acceptibility and preferences. You'll also need a supply of good quality SD cards.0 -
Few things make you despair of this line of work as much as being asked to leave a budget german supermarket.0

Any offer they make to you is probably OK - any that you bring in will be a fail. However 2 for 1 deals are usually offered on days you are not evaluating - indeed this stopped back in 2012 (unless your shop does different days).0
