Even on some no price negotiation, high end cust service style visits I've done, they won't hand me it as it doesn't have Apr s or full terms and condit ions on, so they're not allowed to give as a formal quote.
Ask to take a photo on your phone or if they can email a quote to you to review
Or as I've done in the past, took a photo anyhow when they've gone back in to the manager to get a lower price.
Well without the written quotes in any shape or form I can't see how I'm going to get paid. Making a second trip will waste half a day, petrol and a controlled blood pressure level.
I'm on the verge of sending the MS company an email explaining why I'm aborting. Yes, lost half a day already but not prepared to lose another one. It's a shame really as I have a very good relationship with this MS company, always get accepted for assignments and my work is highly graded. I hope this doesn't put a permanent black mark against my name. That's what I'm really worried about.0 -
Thats a business decision you have to make, and with legitimate concerns
id be inclined to do the same. Question is - would you really miss them if they sacked you off ?0 -
No, I suppose not. I probably only make a total of £30 a month from them. I could go and do 15 cheap supermarkets with mother f****** to make up for the shortfall.

I wonder if someone can help me. I've just registered with GAP and they want bank account number but just in 1 line, will that be the IBAN number.
Nevermind, when I put the IBAN no in it told me what to put in to correct it. Forget I asked!!

Even on high end visits I just use my own car. Somethimes I think mystery shoppers overthink things and this makes them stand out.
My cousin owns 1 Landrover and 2 Porsches and he doesn't get dressed up when he goes to the dealership. He just wears his jeans and t-shirt. Wouldn't be surprised if they were splattered with paint half the time (he does up properties). When he bought his first Porsche his car was a clapped out 12 year old Citroen. Just because your current car is old doesn't mean you can't afford something better now.
I was in Mercedes Benz yesterday and I saw two men in there who were both wearing running gear. And it didn't look like expensive running gear either.
So I wear clean, ironed clothes and go in with the confidence that I can afford this. I always feel that I'm taken seriously and on the very few reveals which I do, the staff always look very surprised.
Its all about confidence.0 -
I am getting beyond the point of annoyed this week - I have had to provide my signature to show that I did not sign off on something, have had someone take down a number wrongly which is obviously my fault and been asked to redo something as there is too much info on it...is anyone else having a crappy week or is it just me?:rotfl:Survey Queen/Poundland Fanatic:rotfl:0

So much thought seems to be going in to this discussion about car visits. I personally am not a fan at all. Did a circuit for Bare a couple years ago and found it far too much headache for the fee. But everyone's situation is different. One thing I will say is just to wear what you feel comfortable in. (possibly not pyjamas though) If you are someone who who feels odd in a shirt and tie, borrowing your mates merc for the day wont help.Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

I have just done a Viewsbank MS shop on purchasing home insurance. Not seen much mention on this board about them so thought I would share my experience...
You end up doing 6 calls to previously selected insurance companies and go through getting quotes which match your quote from your own insurance provider. Each call takes about 15 minutes and then about 10 minutes of filling in tick box type survey questions. Pay rate per call works out around 60% per call more than GFK calls, although you are on the phone longer. Its worth registering with them when your household or motor insurance is up for renewal as they always seem to doing these type of calls.0 -
