Hi, I have been mystery shopping for over a year now but have recently joined Bare International and have passed their tests. Last week I applied to do one of their coffee shop visits but the assignment is still on the job board and my application is pending, even though the start date is passed.

Is it normal for them to leave me waiting so long or are they likely waiting for an offer from a more experienced shopper?

Finally, would a polite email to the schedulers hurt?

Any advice would be great, thanks.

This happened to me with a coffee one when I first started, I did eventually get allocated one but I think it took a while.

Do MF actually place anything on the points system? I've always had full marks, been docked 1 for a proof reading query. It's only 1, and I'm not particularly fussed, but just wondering?? Plus it's more the principle of it I'm not happy with, which I told them.

The question was essentially where else would I have gone, and why.... so I named some other places nearby that are clearly different (if you ask anyone they would know the difference without you spelling it out - to take an example from another sector, it's like comparing Harrods to Primark!!).

Then I got a reply back saying that I need to say exactly why I'd rather go to Primark than Harrods, and I need to fill it in with X details to provide constructive feedback - So I replied saying I don't see the relevance of this question - it's like saying Harrods should stock more £2 t-shirts - it's just not going to happen and will detract from an excellent visit, so why put it? But they seem to have taken the report now, docked me points and I've not heard anything back. Strangeeeee

Points don't mean anything afaik. And proof reading queries are occasionally sensible but mostly they don't make sense. You just look at them, reply and move on (in my experience anyway).

I wouldn't lose any sleep over this. As far as I'm aware, the points stand for diddly squat.

Does anyone have a contact at Bare? They're not answering emails and I really don't want to have to ring them.

    Thanks :)

Haha I've got my route home mapped for tomorrow..... and then back again next week. 200 miles. It seems a certain company has done an update and released a whole new batch for a certain chain.... every flipping takeaway in the South of England is listed for me!!!

    Hi

Does Retail Maxim still post jobs online? Have they changed their website address? I don't think I have seen anything so far this year.

I haven't had anything from them this year either. They do have a online site but it never has anything on it. As I recall they also allocate by phone/text so assuming they have a list of preferred shoppers as I am not on it:mad:

Anyone finding the questionnaires for the well paid phone jobs on TNS all jumbled up and all over the place.

Rm- I have only done 1 job for, which was taken after they called, I haven't got a log in, but they send me emails daily, usually for the same chain in different area's!
