Hope you all don't mind asking but how do you achieve your timings for Gap burger visits. Tend to find it difficult with stop watch. :T

I downloaded a free android app called mystery shopwatch which someone on here recommended. I really like it, because (unlike other I have tried), you can log breaks with the volume button and navigate to another screen without the stopwatch either stopping or erasing the results.

I've actually been thinking adding a list of recommended apps to the FAQ on page 1, if folks have suggestions/ recommendations? It seems to come up a lot.

I use 'hi q mp3 recorder' on Android for covert audio. The free version will only record for a few minutes, but the full version isn't expensive.

I don't bother with a stopwatch anymore, I just use the audio and make a recognisable noise when I join a queue.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

How do you use an mp3 recorder? Do you hold your phone in your hand? I'm asuming it wouldn't record from your pocket.

I have a basic android phone and I was offered an audio finance job. The fee was good and I wanted to try it, but I did a test file using the bundled sound recorder and I wasn't happy with the results. The brief was very clear that I would only be paid if the sound quality was good, so I gave it a miss.

Well it's exactly one year ago today that I carried out my first MS shop........a cheap MF supermarket shop. Never thought I'd get into it as much as I have but, 500 shops later, I'm still going :)

Thanks to everyone on this forum who has helped me over the past 12 months.

Well done for first year :T - its amazing how many jobs you can do in a year, if you are not doing it for your main job and how slightly addictive it can become.

Have to keep having a cull of the reports once the keep time has expired...

I was absolutely gobsmacked when I realised just how many I'd done :), and I'm very choosey over which jobs I take on, I suspect there's shoppers out there who do much more.
  • Can anyone recommend a good SD card for video shopping.

    I need a 32GB one.

    Thanks

I just put it in the breast pocket of my coat with the mic pointed forward and up. It's not something I'd submit for an audio shop, mainly due to pocket rustle, but it's by far good enough for my own reference when typing reports or answering queries. If a point were argued, then it's probably good enough to submit for that purpose.

I have headphones with a microphone and when they're plugged in the microphone on that picks up the sound which makes it clearer.

I see, for Feb's wave, you now have to apply for the TNS phone jobs now.

At least this will prevent the annoying e-mails asking/telling you to change your visit date.
