That made me smile:). Seriously all I have seen is phones and stamp shops. Do they have any other clients?

Lots :-) They contact you when they have something, loads of cars and financial stuff, they also still have the odd supermarket job, mainly refurbs and phone audits.

So for those of us who are just mere mortals nothing? I don't even check anymore... I don't even see the stamp shops round my way.

I don't do cars as not my thing. I think you have to pass some form of test to get on that panel (They are advertising on their front end portal at the moment). The stamp shops come out as an email very intermittently and look like they are sent out to areas. That said I think I have had about five emails and three jobs out of in the last six months. (That one appears to be FFF as quicker you respond more likely to get the job). Apart from that I just seen phones...

Its been a quiet month saved only by Gap believe it or not. I have just applied for my first travel shop on PIP, anyone got any experience on these?

Painful? The fee looks excellent, I assume there is a premium on it now.

  • Yes there is - they have increased it to over triple the standard fee as they're running out of time. Haven't done any but the brief is the same as it was for a different company, and they were ok, it's just that they do seem to "know". Watch out for the brief if you take more than one, as I noticed that each shop has a different scenario.

My advice would be to make sure you have done some research online on the location if there is one suggested in the brief and what attractions/activities are in the area. Not done the PIP one but did one for GR last week and it was for a very expensive holiday, so had to get into that mind set.
Not done one under 40 minutes and would try to avoid busy periods.

I've been saved by GAP in the last two months. Last month I made my monthly target on them alone.

Grrr.... been assigned to another shopper. You couldn't select on the website due to dates available. Just wanted to know how it compared to the GR ones.

Done that one a couple of times, I think they do 'know'. one I did is near work, I keep getting odd looks from the staff member when I walk by to get my lunch :-)

I would say that 30 minutes was about average for ones already done. I'm clear about where abouts I want to go. Country, budget, how long, dates...Or you will be in there forever...

I think I could have taken myself on a cheap holiday due to them in december. Raise a glass.. (until I get the 'dear john' email)

  • Hello Johnny G, how do you make a significant amount from GAP as their main client has a 6 visit a month limit......or am I missing a trick:)

I may have to start the early morning visits which I think allow another 6.

    Thanks, Jon.
