Mystery Shopping Thread 25 *PLEASE READ THE OP FIRST**PLEASE NO CLIENT NAMES OR FEES

Morning all.
I completed an assignment for Albatross about a fortnight ago. On my Pay History, it shows the payment for this assignment as "hold pay". This is my first assignment with this company - is this normal procedure? Does this mean that payment will proceed during the next payout, or should I contact them?

Saw the brief for sports drinks - how an earth do you take a picture of a chilled cabinet to the level of detail required covertly in what in most cases are small corner shops. No wonder they are not being snapped up.

Me neither... Seems to be the new norm. But they have only had 30 days to get it sorted this month though...

Everything that company offers gets selected very quickly here. They must have a lot of shoppers in this area. I've chosen one of these jobs, in a petrol station rather than a corner shop, again to dip my toe in the water.

Good luck on that -might be easier than a small shop. Got visions that if the photo is not correct there would be an issue of non payment. Seems to be plenty of other work around next week so think I'll avoid for the time being.

So, I went a little off-patch (an hour away) to do a load of energy drinks audits, and picked up a corner shop open audit in the same area seeing as I was there. Specified time, Sunday evening (ie after 5pm)

Breezed the energy drinks in three hours less than I thought it'd take, so I spent those 3 hours doing the longest MF coffee MS ever.

Got to the corner shop audit at just gone 5, to find it closed at 4.

Some days you're the dog, some days you're the lamp post.

Easy enough really, just got to use some of the methods shoplifters do to do things covertly. Always ensure you have some !!!!!!!! ready if you're doing the picture before walking the rest of the store.

Or in the worst case, JFDI. I went in one earlier, not a hope in hell of working covertly, no customers, one MOS standing at the counter facing the appropriate section, so did a JFDI and walked out before anyone could say anything.

Sample !!!!!!!! used today:

After doing the main photo discretely but still needing to walk the store for secondary locations, ending at the checkout, with no customers and a bored member of staff "Have you got a cashpoint in here mate?" "Yeah, it's there [2 feet away]" "'kin hell, can you tell I've been on nightshifts?"

"Whoa - Vanilla coke, didn't know you can get that anymore. That's going on facebook"

Lying is a skill, just like any other.
