BTW, wonder if the supermarket in question will take action against IMS or the tea company. Potentially they were being duped into thinking an item was popular and therefore buy stock which presumably was not selling well previously so could be left with unused stock (which is their money) and precious shelf space taken which could have been used by a line that they does sell well.

I suspect the tea company and IMS will not want to draw even more attention to themselves and contract law is not black and white. One extreme of thought could potentially view what was being proposed as fraudulent conduct and that cannot be hidden by confidentiality agreements. Don't forget this assignment could have resulted in a monetary loss to the supermarket, it's not the same as doing a competitor visit assessing customer service.

While I agree with most of your post you are lacking in the way our supermarkets work, I suggest Shopped by Joanne Blythman for a better understanding.

Nice seeing payments coming in :D

Does anybody know how long it takes Assosia to pay?

It's detailed in their Field Associate Contract link, which you'll find a link to towards the end of your details section on the dashboard where you agree to the Ts&Cs.

According to that they have 2 pay runs per month with some processing time for the funds to clear and you should get an email confirming payments being processed in the run.

Never had a payment yet though so not sure how true this is still.

What you and others have missed, is the relevance of the supermarket in question. Any other retailer allows reps in to encourage stock control, /grocery managers to restock items and they would most likely have done this, in house. But this retailer has been paid to have an exclusive contract allowing in reps from only 2 companies, that charge suppliers through the nose for the right to access. Which is why they and so many others go via "alternate" routes for one off jobs. Nothing illegal, just grey area, as so many of our covert and competitor visits are and either way the supermarket would have increased stock on request from reps or customers as a trial.

    A quick query..

I have not done a complete year at MSing but I presume if there are any jobs released for December they will be targeted for the first couple of weeks, with any 'mop up jobs' in the third week and then it will then go quiet till the NY.

    Would this be good assumption?

Strangely MF are chasing to confirm whether I am doing two jobs (which I have already confirmed) for next week , all over a week away - seem to be a bit OTT as I have not dropped any jobs...
