    Eek!
Have my longest route ever planned for next week:
928 miles over three days. "Only" 12 visits though, one with a £5 purchase.
In total the pay is £589 which seems quite fair to me. Now I just hope my mobile broadband works as well there as it usually does around here. :-S

Considering adding a restaurant job or two, but the reporting might get a bit much though.
  • 600 miles? Jeeeez! Good luck.

ive done over a 1000 miles a week, in thankfully a ms company rented vehicle so my own car was saved on that but they soon clock up though, even on city driving. If I was really business minded id get a nice economical tin can of a car, but it more fun and comfortable to drive the one Ive got given i spend more time in it than my bed I thought best to get something i enjoy

    ETA
have just done some quick sums
are you sure you cant get any more ?
factoring an hourly rate for visits, report and driving time, id be asking for more...

One of the clients that MO deals with has said that you're not allowed to ask for a receipt. Does anyone know how this will stand with the tax man, considering I've no way of showing how much I spent?
Use a credit/debit card to buy the item/service...

Take a picture of the item on the shelf with the SEL and again later in your hand outside of the store and use that as partial evidence of your purchase for your accounts.

Sometimes receipts can't be obtained for everything such as bookie visits and reimbursed spending on fruit machines and as long as it's only a few and you can show a reimbursement for the item then the HMRC is fine with some missing receipts. For example...I hand write a note detailing my wagers on the fruit machines on a betting slip that I got from the bookie that I visited and scan that slip into the computer to use as evidence of my spend. That was not questioned.

Does anyone use the geoverify app? I used it for the first time today, it found my location and now says 'generating code, this may take some time' or something similar. It's been generating a code for the past two hours, is that normal????

Well, the rest of the week will bring the weeks total well over 1000 miles. With some shorter routes planned in it all adds up...
The amazing thing about this route is that it is actually planned using mostly public transport, so most of the report writing will be done while travelling from place to place. And I have factored in extra time for delays. :-)
Am waiting to see if they will accept my last request which would increase my pay by around £120-140 more.
10 of the locations are for the same scenario and report, the last two are for another MS company.

Last months record route was 300 miles and 4 visits in three different cities in one day, all reached using public transport at a total cost of around £45 and was paid £320 for those but one had a very lengthy report...

What has happened to Reacts job board? They used to have a nice map with all the assignments shown on it, now they just have a clunky search feature where all you can do is list every job in a county.

This is how it was before the introduced that awful map, it doesn't work properly on mobiles so React have turned it off.

Yes and no that is not normal, it should take a couple of minutes at the most but like all SASSIE stuff it doesn't work properly.

Check you have GPS turned on before you launch the app, mine doesn't work it you launch the app then turn on GPS.

Ah, I didn't think it was right. Apparently this was a bug with the last version but it should have been fixed by the last update. I tried turning my phone/gps/the/app on and off but it refused to generate a code each time. I've emailed the app developer to see if they can help.
Hmm, I could probably do with a phone upgrade but the thought of willingly going in a phone shop after the past few weeks is filling me with dread.
  • Good evening. Hope you are all having a good one.

I am having huge difficulty sending a gap chix report - loads of red error messages that do not make sense. (Much more red than usual) I have been messing round for half an hour but cannot sort them out and cannot submit it. It's a bit annoying.

I just wondered if anyone else was having problems with their site this evening. Or is it working well for others?

    thanks
    arghhh!!!
