Afternoon all,
HH take it easy big hugs x
BB result hope it fits
Judi lots of positive vibes.
I agree completely LW whilst I've been poorly you lovely people have kept me sane. I try and be OS wherever I can but just coming on and having a chat makes a huge difference to me, particularly at the moment.
So chicken casserole smells delish and I'm going to add dumplings later, mmm dh has made a special request so hope he enjoys.
Plus it's easy to warm up for DS3 when he comes in from work, he is like a dog with two tails now he is a working man:D
Popped to the library and charity shops this morning. Ds2 popped in after his doctors visit. He is going to try a phased return to work, fingers crossed .
Better get a wriggle on and drop DS at the station. Have a lovely evening all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

I agree 100%. Having online friends gets me through the day
I feel the same way LW it is nice to see friendly posts and really gives me a lift especially in the winter when I am more or less housebound.
So.... does OS include being kind enough to keep an old crock from giving up on life completely? I think so, and I thank you all for it.:A
Bless You LW and as another youngish crockI thank everyone as well x
Meanwhile, if anyone has a recipe for something like that which I can adapt to use veggie sausages, I'd be most grateful.:o
Sausage Toad
Sausage pasta like a bolognaise but using sliced cooked sausages instead
Sausage casserole
Sausage and Broccolli bake
Slice some potatoes and give them 1 minute in the microwave, layer in a dish followed by sliced cooked sausages, sliced onion and broccoli then potatoes again etc until the dish is ¾ full; pour over a cheese, parsley, mushroom or whatever sauce that you prefer, top with bread crumbs then bake at 170c for 20 minutes this works well with pasta but I cheat and boil the pasta for 5 mins before adding to the dish which helps it cook in the oven faster.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Butterfly Brain you sausage and broccoli bake sounds delicious! Popping that on the 'must try before winter properly sets in' list!
Afternoon all,
I have been plodding on at work trying to find as much as I can to get done before I finish tonight as once I leave that's it for me for almost two weeks!
Very excited for my break and hopefully I come back refreshed and revitalised with regards to work. we have lots coming up so it should be better once my manager (who is currently on leave) and I are back in the office together. we're much more productive when it's the two of us in here!
OS wise, washing machine is on timed so should be ready to go out shortly after I get home, quick tea of bits from the freezer as I have a few bits to be getting on with.
Need to get the following done before I leave on Saturday to follow bf out to Belgium:
*change bed and wash bedding that's on at the moment
*kitchen scrubbed and squared away
*bathroom deep cleaned
*all clean clothes away and spare room dusted/vacuumed
*bedroom tidied/vacuumed and dusted
Not much but I really only have half of Friday and Saturday morning to get it all done!************************************

Oh well such is the way of things, and I will not let anything get me down if I can help it.
Poor Dniece was taken into hospital last night, I really hope that she is going to be well enough for her wedding on Saturday. Compared to her my problems are minescule

Hi everyone.
DH and I went out for a coffee this morning. We still have some M&S coffee vouchers to use before 18th August, so don't want to waste them. While we were in there, DH tried on a jacket. He's had the same light jacket since 2003, and it is getting a bit shabby. We decided to 'think about' getting a new jacket for him. Anyway, when I got home I found the same jacket from an eBay retailer, brand new, for £10 less, so I've ordered it from eBay. Happy days.
Then I decided to move a few photos round on my computer, and it ended up being a complete redesign of all the file names etc !
Tonight, we have breaded haddock for tea. I ike to have fish a couple of times a week.
I'd just like to say, I genuinely enjoy reading about everybody's day to day activities, and it doesn't matter that it's not always about Old Style things - it's about lives, and that's important.
Anyway, enjoy the rest of the dayEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Hugs to all that need them - my heads gone now
Carp at work, we,re being part privatised, had it confirmed yesterday, had to go and inform my lads today (staff) - the polite version of the general consensus was 'Oh golly, thats a pain, what on earth are we going to do' - at least its not redundancy, but will be a dramatic change of pay, terms and conditions for us all.
Anyhoo - need a stiff drink and some food, something and chips I think.
Have a fab evening all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

I agree 100%. Having online friends gets me through the day; I'll be honest, I get up each morning wondering how on earth I'm to stand another day what with pain and feeling icky the whole time and not being able to do stuff. I don't always feel well enough to post, but I do try and read the thread each day, and it makes a heck of a difference. I only really do this thread and the Flylady thread (which helps to encourage me to do what little bits of housework I can still manage) and occasionally I'll post on a thread that's asked a question I know the answer to (on the OS board of course;)) but that's it.
I gave up with the Disability & Dosh board because there were very often some extremely nasty comments being posted, often by people who have disabilities and should know better, not just trolls wanting to "bash a cripple" so to speak, though there seem to be a fair few of them, too.:(
So.... does OS include being kind enough to keep an old crock from giving up on life completely? I think so, and I thank you all for it.:A
Aww, Hester I feel your frustration. Baby steps, you know you can't suddenly leap up and do everything you could before. Have a (((HUG))).:o
I've made a lasagne, it just needs to be bunged in the oven, then that's our dins for today and tomorrow sorted.;) Mr LW's on early shift and wfh today, and late shift tomorrow, so when he gets in tomorrow we can just nuke the 2nd half.;) That's the last of the soya mince out of the freezer, too.:( I don't know what's going on, but there's none to be had in Mr T, Mr M, or Mr A. I can only assume there's some sort of big problem with supply. So, we shall either have to put up with Qu0rn mince, which frankly I dislike working with as it doesn't come up as nice as soya, or I'll have to seek a recipe for a two-day meal (iyswim) using something like veggie sausages. Sausage pasta bake, maybe.... will have to have a trawl round t'internet. I won't need it til 19th August (Mr LW's next early shift followed by a late shift the next day) so I have time.
Meanwhile, if anyone has a recipe for something like that which I can adapt to use veggie sausages, I'd be most grateful.:o
I know I don't post often but I do try and read. Its sad others don't think its OS enough.
The daily is the most friendly out of any thread.
Im in pain constantly myself and reading this thread helps and encourages me to try and be more OS. Iv been trying to bake more (OH does most). Its so much tastier than shop bought and healthier.
Os wise here today being sorting paperwork out and ringing around. Hm spag bol out the freezer for tea with spaghetti...yummy.
Hugs to everyone...Hester huge hugs.
Hope everyone is ok and hugs to those in need of one.

Hi again all. I have no self control... We went to Tynemouth so I could show BF the metal signs - he loved them so we got 2! One for the kitchen that says 'What Would Elvis Do?' And one for the front porch that says 'Be Nice or Leave!' They were only £5.50 each though so not bad! However, we were having a poke around further back in the shop (seriously the place is amazing, you could spend all day in there and still not see everything!) and he spotted a trinket box (I had been saying I want one!) and this one is beautiful - black painted wood with 6 little drawers all covered in different sparkly colours and sequins and the top is silver and sparkly (so me!) and he convinced me to buy it! £20 later and I have it - I must admit I absolutely love it, and I've spent the afternoon crocheting a little mat for it to sit on, and I added beads and little bells on the edges to match....
Oh well, early night tonight, BF's dad is coming round tomorrow morning to do a few jobs for us!the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0 -
Judi - Huge hugs huni xxx0
