I have the podiatry clinic this afternoon so I am just tidying up a bit before DH gets home.
I have been pottering in the garden for an hour have lots of baby runner beans peeping out from their flowers :)
So not a lot going on here really, I have some ironing to do later but DD said that she will do it when she gets home from work.
    I will pop back later

    Morning all,

Bit grey here today but with a good breeze, so washing is blowing on the line. Need to have a quick tidy round and give the bathroom a good clean.

DD has the day off today, the only one this week so we are going to have a lazy day she works so hard bless her so the plan is to have a quick tidy round, then go to 'book club' (a book exchange in the next village) get some chips from the chippy and home to watch a film :D

Got a chicken to roast for dinner, not sure what to do with it yet, might do a roast, depends on the weather.

Lady across the road came over yesterday to let us know the funeral is next wed, she is in such a state bless her and the weight is falling off her,
I have said that I will make some bits for the wake to try and help the poor lady.

    Have good days all xx

    DG said yesterday:
some don't like our thread much anymore, claiming we are not OS enough, but being friendly, and there for each other is definitely OS in my books.
I agree 100%. Having online friends gets me through the day; I'll be honest, I get up each morning wondering how on earth I'm to stand another day what with pain and feeling icky the whole time and not being able to do stuff. I don't always feel well enough to post, but I do try and read the thread each day, and it makes a heck of a difference. I only really do this thread and the Flylady thread (which helps to encourage me to do what little bits of housework I can still manage) and occasionally I'll post on a thread that's asked a question I know the answer to (on the OS board of course;)) but that's it.

I gave up with the Disability & Dosh board because there were very often some extremely nasty comments being posted, often by people who have disabilities and should know better, not just trolls wanting to "bash a cripple" so to speak, though there seem to be a fair few of them, too.:(

So.... does OS include being kind enough to keep an old crock from giving up on life completely? I think so, and I thank you all for it.:A

I'm fed up with having no energy, I've fed the fish & made my breakfast, shopping delivered between 2 & 4, I've ordered some cod in parsley sauce on the off chance I can face eating it.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
Aww, Hester I feel your frustration. Baby steps, you know you can't suddenly leap up and do everything you could before. Have a (((HUG))).:o

I've made a lasagne, it just needs to be bunged in the oven, then that's our dins for today and tomorrow sorted.;) Mr LW's on early shift and wfh today, and late shift tomorrow, so when he gets in tomorrow we can just nuke the 2nd half.;) That's the last of the soya mince out of the freezer, too.:( I don't know what's going on, but there's none to be had in Mr T, Mr M, or Mr A. I can only assume there's some sort of big problem with supply. So, we shall either have to put up with Qu0rn mince, which frankly I dislike working with as it doesn't come up as nice as soya, or I'll have to seek a recipe for a two-day meal (iyswim) using something like veggie sausages. Sausage pasta bake, maybe.... will have to have a trawl round t'internet. I won't need it til 19th August (Mr LW's next early shift followed by a late shift the next day) so I have time.

Meanwhile, if anyone has a recipe for something like that which I can adapt to use veggie sausages, I'd be most grateful.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    HI
A few of us seem to be packing.....myself and 2 teenage DDs are off to Majorca next Monday. Our little spare room looks like a clothes shop!
Myself and eldest DD have our clothes sorted....just a few bits still on the washing line. Youngest DD,14, decided she'd sort out her things yesterday.....at the minute she has 9 dresses, 4 skirts, 6 pairs shorts and lots of little tops! Oh and 5 pairs of shoes! Have pointed out that we're going for 10 days not a month.....big huff last night when I told her it needs reduced a bit.

    :)

    Morning All,

Seems like this place is going to be a bit lonely next week with all the holidaymakers taking themselves off - ok I'm jealous! :D

LameWolf - I know what you mean about some posters. It happens in a lot of forums; it doesn't matter what the OP asks people just want to put their own twist of things and don't answer OP's question. Then a holy war breaks out, with people taking sides, and the OP still doesn't get their answer! :rotfl:

You are quite right that it isn't like that in here.

Has Judi gone on holiday? She has been MIA for a couple of days. Maybe she has broke her PC again! :rotfl: I need my chum back! ;)

It was egg and chips for dinner last night - gosh I love my treats!

Another lovely day here today, but rain forecast tomorrow. We have people from all over the world participating in the World Police and Fire Games and they have been getting fab weather. I'm sure they will be going away this weekend with a good impression of Northern Ireland.

Have a good day everyone!

    Morning all,
Just back from the rheumatologist, at the big, hard to get to, hospital. It was £15 in a cab to come back as the bus stop is at the top of the hospital's hill + too far to walk to. Oh well, that's my treat this week. I've got a lovely information pack all about the new medication - I'll get the meds in about 6 weeks though as there is a process to go through. I just want to get mobile again and be in less pain.

    I second this.
I used to post regularly while I was waiting to hear if I had lymphatic cancer - this thread kept me sane. (I was clear btw, the lump was related to a massive RA flare up). Now I am in Limbo, I came back as I knew there were friendly people making the best of everything - life, money, health and fate.

    Onwards and upwards :A

I'm here, just not logging in that's all, i'm feeling a bit emotionally fragile at the moment and when i'm feeling like that I tend to withdraw.

I'll be back soon I promise! I might even have a smile on my face!

Hugs to all, especially those who are struggling with their health at the moment.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
