one of my boys is on o2 payg and is always using his texts up with 2 weeks he puts on £5 per month so gets 500 texts i dont really want to be putting anymore than £15 per month on,
does anyone know of any monthly deals for £15 with decent amount of texts i know 3 (three) do offers for that amount but i've heard that you can only use 3 simcards in a 3 phone is that true? its just that i was thinking of claiming the phone if i got him a contract:D but i'd be wanting to put my own simcard in
many thanks in advance:beer:

any ideas how to get him to cut down:confused: he's a typical teenager constantly texting so i wouldnt say its that excessive.. neither would he:rotfl:
my eldest son has a contract with 1000 texts per month (but he pays for his own contract) he also uses up his texts plus he has minutes also:rotfl:
without sounding rude though its a tariff i'm looking for...i'm not looking to try and get him to cut down been there done that etc.....:o

Given that he's not on a contract, and provided you're happy to have it in your name, I'd suggest using an online mobile comparison site to find a free mobile on a tariff with loads of inclusive texts, on a cashback scheme.

This means that although you pay upfront, you do effectively get it all for free in the long run. I'm in my second year of doing this and although the cashback is sometimes a bit late, it does turn up in the end. :)

    Hope that helps!

I have just taken out a contract for my DD. I went through www.quidco.co.uk and earned £60 just by clicking the link to www.dialaphone.co.uk I then went for a Samsung E900 with 02 and 250xnet and 200 texts for £10 per month. It is a cashback deal but only 3 claims and the feedback for dialaphone on this site is excellent. The whole deal will cost me £60 for the year and at the end of 12 months I can terminate the contract, sell the phone and start again.
If ordering more than one phone from dialaphone make sure you clear your cookies and go back through Quidco for another £60. Also you can refer yourself or a friend on the dialphone site - where it says "where did you hear about us" and earn another £20.

Cash back only works if you are organised and keep your bills. When you order your phone you will be paying the mobile service provider i.e. O2, Orange, T-Mobile direct the full amount of line rental - say £30 per month. To discount your line rental you have to comply with the company you took the deal out with cashback terms exactly.
To claim the cashback you have to send off your original bills as required. E2save usually ask for your 6th, 8th, 10th & 12th bills but it is subject to change so always read them and print off your T&C when you take out your contract. You usually have to send your bills off within 14/20 or 30 days of the bill date to be sucessful in claiming your cashback. Often they need to be original bills too. The company will then send you a cheque within 28 days for the first amount of cash back.
As an example I took out a 12 month contract with The Mobile Outlet last May. I pay Orange £30 per month and at month 6 I had to submit my first 6 bills. They then sent me a cheque for £180. At month 11 I had to send my 11th bill (just to comply with their T&C) and then at month 12 I sent my 12th bill. I am now waiting for a cheque for £180. I have already informed Orange I wish to terminate my contract with them and I am now taking out a new deal with O2. I will sell my phone from my last contract and use the new phone.
Golden rules of taking out cashback deals.
    1. Make sure you fully understand the T&C before buying. Email the company to clarify which bills will be required and ask any other questions.
    2. Check out whether they pay the cashback. Do a search on here.
    3. Make sure you keep all your bills safe
    4. Write the dates of cashback due on your calender in advance or use the organiser on your phone.
    5. Always send your bills by special delivery.
    6. Send your bills promptly.
I have done cashback deals for 5 years now. The T&C are getting more strict and tricky but so long as you are clear on them you should be ok. There is always the danger that the company will go bust, so go with a reputable one.

thanks poppy are the t&c's pretty straight forward and easy to understand or are they gibberish and complicated like a lot of t&c's:o :D
  • if your REALLY organized go with phoneboxdirect.com and pick out a t-mobile tarrif which is on the flext tarrif. this offers you £120 credit each month, and i think each text is 10p so if my maths is any goods thats 1200 texts each month (and you can mix and match minutes) and best of all its all FREE for the entire 12 months and you get a free phone.

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

there is the texter 20 which 3 offer ....100 mins and 1000 txt or something, if you go into store and have a word they may drop it down to £15 ......or you can buy it online using quidco an you wont have to worry about anything like cash back ...

However 3 sims only work on 3 phones ....like there is only certain handsets the sim will work on such as the w850i or lg shine and on ....the phones can be unlocked and used with other sims ....

Unlocking can be hard with some handsets such as the nokia ones....

I recently took a contract out with dialphone through quidco. I got the £60 cash back, a free Nintendo Wii and 6 months half price line rental - you have to send the bill in for this - but mine is an 18 month contract. decent phone as well.
