Looking at your thanked and posted counts, you are very appreciated, so keep up the good work.:money:

The best thought I can think of, thanks to little miss mac is, we have the thanks button, how about a "whatever" button, might make some people realise.

Remember some of the threads are meant to be humerous, keeps me insane anyway.

Awww Poppit, whats up hun ?

dont get ya self worked up over a few idiots, your doing such a great job finding all these freebies, everyone really appreciates it. :)

It's difficult sometimes to judge what someone means when they post but the majority of the time its just the way they are and they mean no harm at all and would be really upset if they thought they'd offened you in any way

Unfortunately there are were ever we go a tiny minority of people that seem to get enjoyment out of causing offense and upset, those are the people that arn't worth your time or attention. I personally wouldn't give a door a bang for folk like that.

If your ever in need a chat and a friendly place, we're all more than happy to have you call in the arms. It's open all day every day and the best thing about it is all the drinks are free :D :money:

  • There was this guy sitting in his living room wasting time looking out of the window.

Anyway he sees a suspicious looking character through the window looking around, then this character rushes up to his front gate, lifts it off it's hinges and cooly saunters off with it tucked under his arm.

His wife gets back later and rushes in and asks what has happened to their front gate, the guy explains what has happens, so his wife says, "Why didn't you try to stop him ?".

The answer, "I thought he might take offence".

Nice one, look forward to seeing you in there. :D

And there's no need to apologise, I cant see how anyone can take offense, their your feelings and if they've been trampled on then you have every right to say so and remember if you ever feel a poster is being abusive to you report it to abcon, they'll sort it out for ya ;):D

Be happy & keep up the great work :D:D

I really feel I have to say something here. MSE as a website stretches far beyond the Freebies and Competition boards. Yes people on those particular boards do get stroppy sometimes when the same thing is posted again and again. Always have and always will, just the same as posters will always make the mistake of posting something twice.

However, for those guests and users reading this, it simply isn't the case on the rest of the boards. Many, many people are helped to budget, reduce their insurance, utilities bills, credit cards, pensions sort out benefits. For everyone posting on these boards there are a great deal more who are reading and digesting the tips and hopefully one day will sign up with their own tip or suggestion.

Some of the stories in the credit card, benefits and debt/load boards have made me cry when you read just what a difference MSE users have made and long may they continue to do so.

Not being a frequenter of the Freebies and Comp boards, I support what Edinburghlass says. If that is where you've seen most of the narkiness that you dislike (I wouldn't know, unless I start studying them a bit more), don't take it as representing the spirit of the whole site.

There might be the odd niggle where someone doesn't take the tone of intended helpfulness right, or it can be difficult to be kind when someone is making a complaint about a company's behaviour and seems to have made a basic wrong assumption about the product.

But on the whole most people are vastly helpful about sharing their specialist knowledge about all kinds of useful subjects. Even after nearly three months, there is more for me to explore.

Do not let them upset you- I have enjoyed your posts - try ambling around to moneysaving old style some time - I have been in fits of laughter at some of the posts (unfortunatlely in library at time - nearly choked trying to have hysterics quietly.):A
