Your car is 'outside the box' that the council has drawn because it is so old, and probably also because it's LPG. g/km figures only started being published here when the tax rules changed, I think 2001 was the first time you were taxed on 'emissions' rather than simply the size of your engine.
I assume there's a maximum g/km the council allow for a space. I'd bet your petrol 518i is above that, so that's out. You may get in with the LPG thing, but you'll have to push it yourself, to see if they'll change their policy to allow dual fuel cars... Good luck!0
