Thank you for voting esuhl and for your comments.
It is always extremely useful to get peoples' views, especially at the early stage of our presence here so we know how to make our presence more meaningful for MSE'ers.
Thanks again

There are two boards on this site which attract a lot of comment and discussion on topics relevant to politics, government and legislation.
Debate House Prices and the Economy.

Discussion Time.

And many of the contributors to those two boards in particular are very much aware of the detail behind government policy and legislation and just how much it determines the financial position of individuals.
Getting MPs to interact on these boards, or better yet, arranging a live forum session with representatives of the Treasury Select Committee, Housing and/or Planning Ministers, persons responsible for Immigration, etc, would be incredibly useful.
Understand fully that Ministers, Under-secretaries, etc, are busy people, but even getting their researchers or aides to contribute regularly and take on board opinions would be a good start.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Also, if you want to increase public engagement, you may want to avoid the use of acronyms, or explain them. Adding "Digital Outreach Team" to your signature would be helpful!House_of_Commons_Rep_(DOT) wrote: »Hi Nick_C

Great!
Now how about changing what you put in your posts, for the many users on here who have signatures disabled. (They are largely a waste of space).0
