Interesting Response from The Range

I have submitted my appeal shall I add a little more evidence via email?0

The Range seem just as evasive as Aldi about their relationship with PE.
Something's clearly 'not right'.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

They have been quite open previously this quote is from the Wigan evening Post
A spokesman for the Range said: “Working with Parking Eye, a specialist car park management company, we introduced a parking management system into our car parks as there was a serious problem of motorists parking and leaving their vehicles there all day.
“The parking management has only been introduced into stores that have had specific problems for example stores close to hospitals, town centres, etc.
“This parking abuse was preventing genuine customers finding spaces.
“We still offer completely free parking for all, however to counter parking abuse, we have set a maximum stay time.
“There are signs at the entrance to and across the car parks that clearly highlight the terms and conditions of use.”0 -
It stinks to me. :eek:PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0

IMO, you were asking the wrong question. Take PE out of the equation by simply asking, "Are you the owner or leasee of the car park that your customers use? If not, then can you tell me who is the owner or leasee?" Knowing who owns, or more likely leases, the car park will point you straight at who appointed PE.boltonians wrote: »So they will not answer the simple question of, have you asked Parking Eye to operate in your car park0 -
If the car-park is suffering abuse from !!!!!!!!!!s parking in the car-park and going off site for the day (for example near a hospital/station/town centre), than the easiest way to deal is to introduce a barrier control system.
Free for customers of the Range who spend over £x, and a scale of charges mirroring local car-parks for others.0 -

I pretty happy its The Range who have asked them as it can't be a coincidence that they use Parking Eye in all of their car parks, just wanted them to admit it.0 -
But are they the landowner and if not do the Range have the landowner permission to bring in a PPC? And have they council consent to put a time limit on?0
-
No they do not own the land, I know who the landowners are and awaiting a response from them regarding parking eye, its managed by an agency so taking a little time.0
