I'm horribly allergic to Quorn as well: my mouth itches and swells up and I have trouble breathing. I sometimes have the same reaction to mushrooms, so I think it's a fungus thing.

Quorn caused the most violent projectile vomiting imaginable. And that was after eating it with no problem for years. How do I know it was Quorn? - because I had some more Quorn a week later and again suffered the worst sickness of my whole life.
I'm now literally frightened by Quorn. It cannot enter our house. I have to warn people before I eat anywhere else. I cannot choose the vegi option at a public BBQ type place in case it turn out to be Quorn.
