    I've been Money Tipped!
I am glad you posted about this. I have been thinking about investing in this for Christmas for DS1 (also have a 4 month old DS2 so will get plenty of use). I have already bought an aircraft carrier - as was only £14.99 reduced.

Can you recommend any other sets that would be worth buying. I wouldn't say money is no object but I am not bound by a budget.

My boys have the full space set (rocket, space police, space station all the vehicles and aliens), majority of the dinosaurs range, the big airship carrier (not sure if its the same as you've bought as I believe there is two different ones), ambulance, helicopter, police cars. And most of the batman range from last year (I've seen there is a new batman range out), that includes the bat cave, Gotham jail, mr freezes lab, jokers funhouse, penguins submarine, helicopters and bat mobiles and the remote control big foot.

From all of that I would say stay away from the older batcave -cant comment on the new one and also jokers funhouse as its supposed to do noises from what I can tell but doesn't!!! But could be that we got a faulty one.

If I could pick favourite i would say the space range as there is loads you can buy which varies in price ds1 bought he majority of the vehicles (moon buggies) and the larger aliens from his saved up pocket money and we bought the bigger sets. They have just been played with so much! As have the emergency vehicles.

I could go on but im starting to sound like a rep for imaginext! Hope this helps you

I am actually trying to decide whether to buy the castle for ds2 for this christmas. My only drawback is the space issue, obviously I will be getting rid of a lot of toys before then, but it looks like it might take up quite a bit of space

  • Thank you Carlamarie. That is really helpful. I am also thinking of buying the castle as DS2 goes straight to it everytime we go in the toyshop. It does look pretty big but then it sounds like you are like us - more toys than house! :-) I will have a look for the space range now as it is different to the other things he is getting for Christmas. I really like the look of the Imaginext firestation but he is getting a playmobile fire engine for Christmas - saying that he can use them together. His cars like to 'play' with his duplo and his train track...
