BONGO 3rd party texts to kids phone, can i get refund

hi, when checking monthly bill for me and 2 of my kids, I just discovered that both of them texted to this company bongo!
It appears to be a question and answer load of rubbish thing that
costs 2.50 per text.
apparently friends were doing it in school and they of course tried and thought it was free! which it is not.
between the 2 of them they spent 17.50, do you think I have any hope of getting this back from the company??
on there site it states you must be 16yrs and have bill payers permission, they are not either of course!
I realise they are just naïve and went along with there friends.
I have called t mobile and put a stop on all 3rd party texts, to make or receive on there phone.
any help or advice apart from don't do it again!
