I've been to plenty festivals but never camped before - does anyone have any tips for me (what to bring, etc)?
Bit nervous about it, especially as I'm just going by myself. I have a spare ticket if anyone wants to make an offer by PM for!If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor...0 -

We dont do the camping thing. Its handy enough to drive back to the central belt so we just head home to our nice bed lol! Staying with friends in Glenrothes this year tho. If you want some peeps to hang about with feel free to PM me and we can meet up.

Top tips
dont take many clothes or shoes, just comfy ones and old
do take suncream
do take some for of rain gear I take one of them plastic thingies you get from the pound shop - easily discarded afterwards - 2 for a quid
do take a wee rucksack for sunglasses, headache tablets, etc.
do take plenty of dosh eating and drinking there costs an arm and a leg.
do take a list of whats going on and where you should be, for the big bands if you want near the front get there early.
dont worry
and do enjoy. You cant take the trousers off an elephant!0 -
My son and his mates are going to t in the park for the first time. He's only 18 (I know, I know - he's an adult) and I'm worried sick.
It'll all go to his head and he'll get too drunk and fall into a coma/someone will steal his sleeping bag and he'll die of hypothermia during the night because he's too drunk to feel the cold/he'll get beat up by some crazed druggie/ someone will slip something into his drink and he'll have a bad reaction and die. etc etc. You get the idea?
He's bought a disposable tent and he thinks he's going to take a thin blanket and that'll do. I'm off to Argos today to buy a cheapo sleeping bag and he's using it whether he likes it or not.
If anyone sees an 18 year old in trouble....please go help them, It might be my son. :undecided In fact, if I circulate a description and put up a pic, will you all mind him for me? :rotfl:
Hope you all enjoy yourselves. :beer:0
