Help, this is getting crazy!
I know this isnt money saving but from the wealth of knowledge on here, Im hoping for some clues as to what is going on here.....
Hi
Really need some help on this one as its driving me mad!
Ive got a "gold number" and its something like 07963 555555 for example so a nice easy prefix then 6 digits the same, had it for years - but Im not sure if the number has any connection to the issue?
Been on VF for a while and the following problem occured, recently moved to 3 and its still happening.
I keep getting calls from different people trying to get hold of someone and its not me they want. I might get 5 or 6 a day, some days the same person might try 3 or 4 times.
They never withhold their numbers, so they are not pranks or dodgy, they are always calling from a mobile and they are usually dialling a number, from their phones memory, so they are not mis typing a digit say 07963 555556, the number they are trying to call will be NOTHING like mine, I ask what they are trying to call and its different each time from each person, but it will be as far removed from my number as possible.
Ive had a hospital trying to get hold of a surgeon, ive had a daughter in tears after she repeatedly called her Dad thinking I had stolen her phone, Ive had people trying to get hold of their Granny, but usually they are after a friend/relative/colleague that they have had in their mobile for years, they are just pressing "Mum" or whatever and I am getting their calls?
Its getting annoying and even moreso when I end up having to argue with them that I am not the person they are looking for or that I havent stolen that persons phone and thats why I am answering.
Others are just polite, apologise they must have dialled the wrong number, only for them to ring back a minute later dialling the stored number from their phone contacts and apologise again.
Screenshot below, are some from the last 24 hours, you can see none of them are in my phonebook, none of them are wanting me and none of them are dialling a number remotely like mine.
They are all just dialling stored numbers from their mobiles.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Rich

This is probably a routing error at the ONO. (The network to which the number was originally assigned and therefore routes all calls to the current network).
You'll need to ask Three to liase with the ONO, which could be challenging.0

That's it mate this number you can say bye bye. Its going to be a pain to get this sorted
Plus, gold numbers aren't worth owt nowadays. That all went out of the window when sim companys decided to send out free sims all within a digit of each other lol.0
