If I were to use Orange broadband, do they let me send emails from Outlook express coming from an email address from my own domain (that web host does not have SMTP server) via orange smtp, or do I have to use an orange email account
( I've done it before with loads of ISPs, so know the settings but I have heard orange are different and might block it- anyone clarify, as might make a difference in my chosen isp)

The folks at Orange Problems forums should know the answer.
I have to say though, you'd be mad to go with Orange unless you're getting Orange broadband for free as part of your Orange mobile contract. Orange are, by all accounts, the worst ISP in the country. If you're gonna get free Orange broadband, fair enough. The true cost of something is what you give up to get it.0 -
I think it it's hit and miss with Orange BB as I don't have any problems at all0

Hi some ISPs only allow SMTP traffic from accounts they provide.
Check this article out first (or google orange smtp problems) http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/index.cfm?action=showthread&threadid=286015&forumid=2
Hope this helps0
