SKY HD box borrowed !

I have a SKY HD box, not connected to phone line or broadband router. I have the full subscription package.
If I go on holiday, can I lend my SKY HD box to a relative who lives close by for a couple of weeks so they can watch the sport I subscribe to? They have Freesat at the moment, so it would just be the case that I connect the box to their dish feeds.
What would happen if my relative were to plug the box into their BT Infinity broadband router to access On Demand. Would SKY detect this and put me in the brown stuff?

Do you have Multiroom? If the box is elsewhere, it'll fail the callbacks. No free lunch, and no free laptop

That box is and has never been connected to any phone line or router.
I have another box in my house which is multi room, but the box I am lending (to my mum:o) is one I never use.0 -
I think actually common sense would suggest that I can give my mum the box for a couple of weeks as long as she does`nt plug it into her phone line or router !
Correct me if I`m wrong please?0 -
Yeah, they'll have no idea where it is or isn't.
I know they would detect where it is or is`nt, if it is connected to a phone line.
Bear in mind this box has never been connected to SKY via phone or router.......would they detect that it should`nt be at my mothers address, if she plugs it into her BT Infinity router only NOT the phone line?..0 -
Couldn't they just nip around yours if there is something particular they want to watch. Also a chance for them to check your property, water plants etc.0

If your mum has a tablet or computer you could add her to your SKYGO, you can have two devices added to your account. Of course you have to say the decive is yours......
She could watch whatever she wanted on your computer.
My son has both mine and he is 200 miles away!!!!make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
