    Hi

Thanks for this , just what I needed, we love the Lounge but not at full price as DH doesn't drink so it works out expensive for coffee and cake LOL

The number for Avios direct is 08444933349 for anyone else :)

I think a lot of the food options and bubbly in the no. 1 lounge have to be paid for. But it's still head and shoulders above a serviceair lounge.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Ba lounges are invitation only. You need silver status or One World equivalent or flying Business Class with BA or partners.

Problem is 3 of us flying economy on BA with only one gold status. Enough for gold card holder plus 1 guest to get into the lounge. Would have been useful to buy the third place rather than rely on some goodwill by the entrance people to get the third in.

To follow up. We checked in at the business// first desk (as gold card permits) without any request the check-in girl phoned the lounge to find out if it was busy and gave us a pass for the 3 of us.
