Yep they took Mama too , they agree with me that she is a lovely wee thing ! Babe are better with her as long as possible , she is being looked after by a volunteer who sounds lovely , really put my mind at rest :A

Yep Valk_Scot is right, Mama and babies were covered in tics and babies may not have survived much longer :( Think CPL said they removed 16 from mama and 6 or 7 from babies !

Do they seem optimistic that they'll all be ok? Fingers crossed for them.

i have been watching on tv 'RSPCA Animal Rescue' which is based in Australia, they are much better than our RSPCA. Though there they have the paralysis tick which injects a venom into the animal and the cats there can die quickly. very nasty!
Cats don't have owners - they have staff!! :D:p

When we first got our pup I had to take 2 weeks off work to be at home with him and used to have the TV on most of the day for in between naps, etc. Once I had been outside with him and came back in and that programme was on. There was the most horrifically neglected Jack Russell on the screen (which is what our pup is) and I was so upset. Vowed to make sure I never watch it again!!!

From what CPL said they are already making great progress on way to a full recovery , to say I'm delighted is an understatement !

Well before this I presumed that the head office of CPL funded the local volunteer branches , how wrong ! Our local branch get nowt ! They have to self fund :( wonder if RSPCA are same ?

Yes, the RSPCA is the same, each branch has to self fund. It's quite shocking that the organisation doesn't mention this in their ads, but I guess they don't want people to know.

Another reason for me to support the small local rescue where I got my mutt from. They're excellent, run by volunteers and are so grateful for any help. In January I brought them old towels, newspapers and a big sack of dog food as they had the puppy-rush. One of the volunteers got tearful, she was so thankful.

And well done for looking after Mama cat and kittens. You've done something incredible there :T

Thanks trolleyrun x I was really shocked ! So anyone that knows me knows I will have a party for just about any reason , I had never heard of a "kitten shower " but I am now having one LOL ! Pals are all invited for food & drinks but instead of gifts for the " baby " they are all bringing food, litter , blankets and a wee donation of any lose change. So I'll have a fab wee party and our local branch should end up with lots of stuff they need as well as a cash donation . I know folk will think I'm mad but hey ho ! lol xxx

    I don't think you're mad, it's a lovely idea. I'm so pleased they're all doing well.

Yes, they most certainly are! Local RSPCA shelters and clinics get absolutely NO funding whatsoever from central RSPCA headquarters, but unfortunately that is where the majority of the public direct their donations. Please, please, please support your local shelters if you want your donations to actually help animals.

Central RSPCA spend money on propaganda and AR activists and paying themselves huge wages. They are currently sitting on a huge pot of many £millions whilst local shelters/clinics are desperate for funds.
