Try contacting one of the local branches as these are entirely separate and are NOT funded by central RSPCA. They each have to raise their own individual funds. You will get a better response re the kittens from them too.
Id never take advice from the RSPCA or the SSPCA in scotland where I am. I found a cat at the roadside about ten years ago, had obviously been dumped by someone, their advice was, its a wild cat, leave it.
My mum took it in
If you are going to end up taking these cats to a shelter please try and find one that has a no kill policy, as far as I am aware both the RPSCA and the SSPCA do put healthy animals to sleep at times.0 -

It's really difficult because people see brand RSPCA and assume it's all one entity when that couldn't be further from the truth. Those who donate to the RSPCA or bequeath them in their will only serve to line the coffers of animal rights activists to pay for their propaganda. (Yes, this really is true, trust me).
Yet, the smaller RSPCA charities... the local kennels, shelters, clinics etc... don't receive a penny of these donations. Oh no, they have to fund raise locally and open RSPCA charity shops to pay for the real need of the charity... the animals!!!
I just wish people knew the truth

Don't think so , the mama is gorgeous silver grey with white socks but not sure who the daddy is . They were born in an old rusty morris minor :-):AIt matters not how long a stars shines ,what is remembered is the brightness of it's light.

can make money from that minor in any shape lots of first time restorers buy them, for their grandchild or son or daughter to have a as a first car. lovely red interior.
i think they are BSH of some mixture. the fat pad lips and fat nose is a identifying feature, perhaps mum has some bloodline there of a BSH thats come out.0 -
I've really enjoyed reading this thread, do keep the news coming. You're an angel ktflosspot.
Two of mine were born in similar circumstances and I only got them because one was born with a leg missing and (I quote) "no one wanted him". I said I'd have him without even seeing him or knowing he was a him or anything. He was a runty little scrap of bones and fur when I got him but oh so beautiful and he's now 4 and has grown into a very handsome loving chap and I love him to bits. His sister came too and she's a little darling and just the perfect lap cat.
I often wonder where they'd have ended up if he had been born with four legs and so I didn't get to hear about them. I shudder to think.
Fingers crossed for your foundlings and keep the photos coming.0 -
